Thanks to some brilliant photography skills of a few hibs, we got some brilliant snaps of you wall abusing in crim tonight. These pics are already winging their way to a GOA GM near you, so congratulations as you will be playing in the next round for a one way trip to ban-ville. I wish you the best of luck!

(btw tip for sharp, for the next time. Once you kill me, it's better if you stealth, coz when I get rezzed I can climb on top of the wall again, /stick to you and get an exact /loc to make it even easier for GOA to look through the logs ;))

BAN the cheats if they did .

ALSO ban the hibs who were caught on screenshots who i DONT seem to recall any of them getting banned for any amount of time.

except for NP who got banned for what 3 days ? :( farto leniant im sure large % of daoc population wants all cheats banned or have at least lengthy suspensions .

Anyone who cheats should be banned.

Albs, Mids, or Hibs.

There is no excuse for cheating, regardless of realm.

Anyone who says 'soandso realm does it more and soandso started it', I'd like to see some facts please, statistics, or figures.

Yoda is referring to an incident when an alb infiltrator entered a wall at a keep and took screenshots of dead hibs who had lagged through.

Well i got screenies of a brand new hib exploit, climbing walls. And no they werent assasins. Also en route to the GoA hi command... Enjoy your 3 days of real life.

Hmmmm well you wouldent care to post the screenies here? I happen to know Greg and Winter and they never struck me as ppl that would cheat...

But hay, give me some screenies and i might be able to reconsider. I think that all cheaters should be punished and considered as "outlaws" by not letting them into groups etc so ppl think twice before they cheat...but we cant do that without some good evidence first.

And i think that we all should know something to...there is a bug but it is connected with the whole archery thing and cant really be blamed on the archers themselves. If an archer finds an target and can nock an arrow (and press automatically realease arrow) before the target is out of sight that arrow will hit even if the target takes cover behind a wall or something. The only way to avoid being shot after the arrow is nocked is to move out of range. So if you are shot inside the keep, even if you have just moved away from the walls, it does not really mean he is abusing bugs (well he is but he cant really help it :).). But if you get hit by the same player several times after you have moved away from the walls though.... well then you have reason to suspect bug abusing.

I hope that helps a bit...and this bug can only be blamed on GOA...you cant really expect an archer to cancel a shot just because the target might have moved out of sight :).

Well...if these are the screenies u got...good luck...cause imo u cant see any cheats on them...or tbh u cant see ANYTHING on them..

But no matter...keep on climbing those walls iziz...u might even get in sometimes when i am not there to waste u little clowns..:p

Got some screenies of some hibbies sitting inside AMG walls in Emain yesterday... Shame the screenies just show them sitting... Is that enough proof for GOA to do something?

ask ur fellow realmmates where they mezzed, rooted, shot or whatever me - think was always ON the freakin wall.

P.S. who was that lil orange con lury who tried to kill me IN the wall while i was AGAIN short on HPs coz of falldamage? how did u get in there btw?? still u failed lol. and i thought palies r gimped....... :rolleyes:

Some people get too eager to accuse others of cheating. When I sit down with my back to a wall I sometimes end up in it; the other day I was bashing at a gate, got hit by some one inside, so targeted him with f8 and noticed I could hit him through the gate too. I moved away and back, and the problem was solved. Didn't occur to me to make screenies and send em to GOA calling the guy who hit me first a cheater as I considered it a bug, like so many things are bugged in this game.

By all means send these screenshots to GOA, with relevant times and /locs, they should be able to prove whether any cheating has occured. But for me those screenshots prove absolutely nothing. I can't even see anyone IN a wall (Maybe you should post annotated versions).
I could get a screenshot of me being hit by an arrow while looking at a fort, what does that prove? You can't even see the direction of the arrow, the guy could've been stood behind you!
Having someone in target and emoting to them also proves nothing unless you are close enough to see the name above the guys head. I think you should take some tips from Mallus on how to get good screenshots. If you want to accuse these people of cheating you need a shot of them, names above head, stood inside the wall firing arrows with the relevant attack text.

I'm all for naming and shaming cheaters, regardless of realm, but honestly these screenshots show nothing.

(What's happening in the first one? Is the Bowman cheating too?

Were sorry, but we kept falling through the wall like your elfs did when we took crim that same night (i think mallus or outlaw may have some screens, because they were shouting for them to be taken). We didnt stay in the wall firing area spells, we actually went back up and fell through again and again. Then i got stuck behind the wall, actually ledged in the back of it but could see through it until a spearo freed me by hitting me (dont know how but it worked).

Cant have been in the wall that much for you to kill me 6 times on the top, and desa (?) killed me in the main courtyard.

You are blaming Greg and Winter with (almost) the same screenshot, showing a wall bug abuser with a black cloak and black boots and leggins.

Greg doesn't use a black cloak for sure - he uses a green and a guild cloak. Winter ... I don't know about his cloak, but he doesn't wear black leggins. Of course cloth are easily dyed, but I doubt this Saracen is either Winter or Greg.

The person in the screenshot, whoever it is, is definately abusing the wall bug and should be banned for it !

This getting under the landscape and looking into the keep from underneath - is that how you nuke and shoot at us inside the keep courtyard? Even if you can't shot at us, it gives you pretty detailed information about our numbers inside. Can you do it all keeps, or only Crim? Isn't it a bug (abuse) as well?

Plenty of hibs as well as players in the other realms have been punished by GOA for cheating. As far as I know there are only two penalties, a three day suspension for a first offence and account termination for repeat offenders. For better or worse, GOA's policy is not to make a lot of noise about it, so we only ever hear about people getting booted if they come here and post about it, but just because there's no web site where you can scroll through the list of people who have been banned for cheating doesn't mean that GOA is ignoring it. On IRC last week Zargar came into the channel and said, "for heaven's sake, tell people to stop cheating, I just had to ban seven more people and I hate doing this."

So if you see someone you think is cheating, just report time, details and location to GOA. I don't know if posting here really serves any purpose - maybe it's a deterrent, I'm not sure. But if they really were cheating, GOA will nail them for it, and quite rightly.

And btw, none of them scouts you clearly see inside the wall is me. I use a bright yellow bow....hard to miss.

So please dont say again that i was camped in the wall the whole time, like i said in my last post yeah i fell through a few times, but never stayed inside when i easily could have like the hibs that defended it earlier.

I think this is a big mistake by GOA, if they don't demonstrate what happens if you cheat how can they hope to deter cheaters? If noone hears of people getting banned people will do it. The next time Zargar is in IRC tell him to create a "banned characters" section on the GOA website. I want to know if they are doing a good job on banning people, give us something to praise GOA about.

Just makes me curious. How can you detect cheaters without cheating. I mean how did you get these shots. I bet your on a cheatingtrip also Iziz. And if i recall correctly it were the Hibs that first started with this wall abusing. Yup I remember screenshots of you guys doing the same.

I got no respect for cheaters let me make myself clear about this. However I don't think this forum is the appropiate place to post this. Second of all you guys are doing the best to try and ban people for life because of abusing while you guys do exactly the same.

And finally something about Mythic and GOA. You guys are aware of the possiblities to exploit these cheats why don't you solve these exploits. If there are no bugs to exploit then there are no cheaters.

well at least we all agree on one thing there is a scout inside the wall, who, only goa will really know and the scout of course who was inside the wall.
why ppl cheat is beyond me, if u can't play without cheating then don't play, it proves nothing other than what a lame piece of shit u really are and the only person your fooling is yourself.

For those that want to know how GOA/Mythic can see if you have cheated:

Everything is being logged. They take the name of the hibbie archers and do a search in the log for gained RP and /loc.

If /loc is a loc inside a keep wall and he has gained RP.... Bingo 3 day suspension and the name logged as first offender.

You guys are just being lame and obtuse. Wallbugging was already being done by all three realms in beta and has been done by players in all three ever since. Nobody "started it". But even if they had, "cheating back" is no less despicable than "cheating first". This argument is not about albigard versus hibernia, it's about players versus cheaters. If you see a player cheating, report him and get him kicked. The realm he belongs to is irrelevant.
