Lethul said:agree, already looking forward to next superbowl
Marc said:I was talking to mate yesterday who reckons that if it rains all day on all the days the tests are scheduled for, it means that no tests are played and effectively the series ends in a draw. Surely this cant be right and hes takin the piss?
TeaSpoon said:If it rained for each 25 days of play, the series would probably be abandoned and they would try to reschedule things.
A washed out test is considered a draw, but I think they'd look different if the whole series went down to the weather.
Hawkwind said:In the context of the Ashes a draw = Australia retaining the Ashes = Win. So if all matches were rained off, each match would be a draw. Australia would retain the Ashes.
TeaSpoon said:I'm very aware of the fact that as the current holders that Australia retain the Ashes in the case of a draw.
0 days play out of 25 would most likely bring the ECB and CA to sort something out. Its not good for the series, or revenue made by both sides
Its happend before.
