penis!...no wait...Leipzig WAR report!

5.00

I just came home from a night out with mates, and Mightybunny arrives at my place to pick me up. His 16-year old car is quite nearly as old as I am. The paint is almost fully gone and the top speed is 110 km/h. It's gonne be a wicked 8 hour drive.

Somewhere, the road split up due to works on the autobahn, this is the result:

A 2 meter wide road. Mightybunny starts sweating, panick is overwhelming!

Luckily, we made it.

Arrival at GC and GOA booth: 15.00 o'clock

After entering the GC, we hurried towards the GOA booth to check out the DAOC stand and ofcourse, the WAR stand!

The crowd was immense, Paul Bennet and co had just started presenting the Elves, and the interest was rather huge.

After watching the presentation (which included loads of yelling "WARHAMMER! WAAAGH" and "If you want a t-shirt, yell WARHAMMER!") we ran around the corner to have a look at the DAOC booth.

I didn't play DAOC there obviously, but it seemed as if the people who were playing it rather enjoyed it. (And mind you, the computers were always taken by people playing it.)

Warhammer!

We lined up for our first WAR experience - RvR in BG.

About half an hour queue, and we're up next. Nice lady is handing out the Béta key lottery tickets:

These ones to be more precise:

(At the end of the weekend, we had about 20ish of them and won no beta key :( we did make a fortunate dude happy by giving him our 20 tickets)
Mightybunny being pleased to play WAR soon:

Although I don't look happy, I was it aswell. My god, how fucking tired do I look? It's as if I just had a 8 hour drive and havent slept for about 20ish hours.

:D

All in all, it was a very good experience. WAR looks promising. RvR was just "spit in your neck, kick in your crotch" great. You don't die as quick as in DAOC. Casters cant insta lifetap-moc anyone within 3 seconds. CC is very very small. One class can't just kill all - all classes are equal and have both up and downside. And finally, it's not cause you're a healer that you can't do any damage :)

PvE was nice aswell - starter quests are actually worth doing now. They reminded me of the WoW: TBC starter quests, which rox.

And finally, some booth babes. I know you've all been waiting for it!

..Here's me at the Age of Conan booth (Right infront of the WAR one), secretly advertising WAR! :D

I even forgot to mention our chat with Iain "Requiel". I must say it was nice to put a face behind "the man!". Might I add you look as if you just retired from your highschool Metal band, Requiel? :D

Nice report m8 :)

8 hour travel wow, we drove 5 hours but 150kmh+ heheh :)
We were only there 1 day so the same day we had to drive home again.

When we arrived i came @ the warhammer stand we watched the presentation, but it was so crowded and hot there, that i almost passed out, it was on saturday it was like 30c there, so i spend the next 2 hours @ the medical facilities lol, i got drove down with the ambulance.

After i felt better we went exploring the other stands abit, and filmed alot of booth babes. All in all it was a fun day but i never ever gonna drive the same day back again lol, 11 hours total of driving and 1200km total t.t
