Confused

Could some please answer this once and for all.

If i have pre-ordered a box but not signed up for the EA, which of my keys do i enter first when I register my account on Friday?

Is it the pre-order key that I got by email, or is it the key that comes with the box? I assume whichever key I don't enter first, i enter somewhere afterwards, in order to upgrade the account with the mammoth etc?

Or should I not use the emailed pre-order key at all since I never was in EA?

I would suggest that you can stick both in in either order as it seems happy for people to add keys to their account.

Don't hurt me if I'm wrong though.

Well, it does seem it goes either way, which is why i'm confused. The guy at my distributor told me I use the key i got in the email, and then upgrade it with the retail key in the box when i get it. Others say it should be the other way around since otherwise you can get your account frozen/locked/whatever.

I dont think you can upgrade your fullaccount with a preorder key. If I was you, I d use the preorderkey first, then upgrade it with the full accountkey. All preorder accounts will be closed on the 23rd anyway, so you do exactly what the rest does IMO.

You update it to CE account with the box key.

EA has nothing to do with either key!

So the war mammoth etc rewards are built into the box keys then, not into the pre-order keys? If not, why would I need to update my accounts with the box keys? And the war mammoth shouldn't just be on the CE account!

Sorry I tend to over-analyze and question things, making myself even more confused.

Upgrade non-CE account with cape reward key received from Clan of Conan.

BTW, you can enter the cape-key anytime, mate. Just to confuse you some more. ^^

I've made my account ages ago with the pre-order key so dunno really

The codes are held in the pre order key. You need to enter the retail key to show you've actually bought the game. Some people gained pre order keys and then cancelled their copy. Funcom will be deleting those accounts.
