I think you're missing the bigger picture here, and that is that DAoC'ers are a bunch of virtual sword waving lamers largely devoid of real life friends, instead wasting what precious air/resources are left on the planet in the pursuit of rare ores, uber itemz and embroidery.

They all do this, night after night as the months roll by, all the while saying things like "Forsooth sire, begone from whence you came b'for thoust find thine sword plunged deep into thine colon"... Utter lamers.

In all honesty none of them deserve any respect or consideration - except perhaps one or two who are slightly less absorbed in their own pointless virtual existence.
