Damn it. Ok, my tuppence, Gombur's usually a top bloke and I think it's a bit much to ban someone on the basis of one and a bit annoying posts (on the basis that cage still walks among us for a starter, and he's started more annoying threads than I can recall, and note this isn't me saying cage should be banned either). (Maybe spanked by a muscular woman that may have once been called Peter, but not banned).

And this whole us and them DAoC thing is a bit shite. There are so many people on the DAoC forums that by the laws of statistics we're bound to have lots of eejits posting there, but there's also quite a few top people too.

Anyway, that's my Rah.

Who guards the CS players?

Everyone gets picked on, just the DAoC players take it a bit more seriously maybe.;)

And he was warned, and couldn't resist. I'm assuming its only a temporary ban.

I'm confused. Is Gombur banned? If he is, good. I'm glad. The difference between him and cage is that Gombur came in with the sole purpose of annoying us, then made up some shite excuse when bigfoot closed his thread.

Cage, on the other hand, is a comedic genius :D

I added him to the banned group, he can be re-activated at any point but for now he cannot post to any part of the forums.

Damini - This isn't an "anti-DAoC" thing, he was being a twat, it's just a shame it only serves to further the bad reputation some of the DAoC posters have built up which the rest are now tarnished with.

Yer, I missed that as well, Ted was mighty quick to extinguish that little fire.

While I don't know what goes on in them thar dark DAoC corners, Damini, I seem to remember Gombur making a lot of intelligible (no worse than anyone else's, I mean) posts in General. But to turn around and start that thread... it annoyed me lots. :)

And in cage's defense, he posted a helluva (I'm such a janner :/) lot of irrelevance in open threads, but I don't remember him starting threads purely to annoy. I could quite easily be wrong, but that's the way I remember it. :)

He closed the thread himself 20 minutes after opening it. He didn't purposely go out of his way to insult anybody either.

I wasn't saying you were being anti DAoC bigfoot, that was in reference to the fact that I always get "Grr, keep your DAoC lot muzzled/castrated/leashed/buried in a shallow grave in Luxemberg" in the general forum.

But I do think a suspension is over the top. Last I'll say on the issue, but that's my view point.

I'm happy I have the nice quite BF1942 forums to retreat to...

I guess if Gombur limited his retardedness (don't even think that is a real word) to the DAoC forums then none of this would have happened, you don't see the general forum invading the DAoC forum insulting everyone, although judging from the reactions I've seen from them here it would be an intersting sight :)
