I have a 6800GT with an S-video socket on the back.

If I got a long S-lead (it would need to be about 10 metres) and a stereo audio cable (10 metres again), and plugged both into my telly downstairs, is that all thats needed?

Will the picture fill the screen of my telly (widescreen 32 inch), and will the quality be ok?

Do I need any other software?

yes you will be abel to play games and watch dvd fine but max res on normal telly is about 800x600 i think with a long audio cable like that you might find audio to be a tad out of synch buts its easily fixable. just samke sure you disable the svhs output or even unplug the cable when you watching the pr0n tho

Hi Tom

As Yaka says it's usually all straight forward nowadays. The resolution won't be great if you're used to high-resolution computing, but for watching DVDs etc. it should be fine.

Kind Regards

Nah its only for watching stuff that I've downloaded, 24 and things like that. 800x600 is higher than PAL anyway, so that sounds fine.

Oh, thx for the advice Yaka - the length of the cable make no difference to sync matey :D

I think you can use an Xbox for the same purpose...
