Compatibility Testing: Admin2

Bonjour :)

Just wondered if you could point your browser(s) to this prototype page which I have been coding today. I'm sure you'll recognise what it is

Basically, if you could reply, posting your Operating System and Version, Browser Name and Version and any comments, I would be very appreciative (e.g. Windows XP SP1, IE6 SP1, All okay:p)). The utilities themselves aren't in place as yet, but all I'm really concerned with is the layout, as the utilities will work regardless of the browser or platform. In particular, the navigation icons should appear in the middle of the vertical border.

For those who want to know, the site is fully standards complaint . . .
Anyway, any comments would be greatly received. One final thing, I'm still waiting for the go-ahead as I didn't set out to begin redesigning admin2, so don't expect to see the final thing any time soon (if at all :)).

Kind Regards

Thanks [UD]Devil :) The colour scheme is based around the SVG (X11) colour profile, so the colours available are limited. That said, I understand your point, so I'll probably change them to increase the contrast and legibility. I'll probably up the font size too, as I have a preference towards smaller fonts, although I appreciate not everyone shares that tendancy.

As for the links, what you're viewing is the home ('welcome') page. The links on the right will be on every page; whilst the ones in the middle are specific to the home page only. Eventually, the middle links will have a proper description to tell you exactly what each utility does. At the moment those descriptions are very brief, so it looks a bit daft :D

Thanks for your time

Very nice design, fast loading, nice graphics. Like the text only version. Couldn't the images be links to the pages too? (That's a little over picky :) )

Thanks Khan :)

As for the images, they're currently just the background to other elements, rather than separate <img /> elements themselves (for reasons of degradability). However, I will have a play and see what I can do, as I too would like the images to be linked (great minds . . . :p)

Thanks for your time, it's much appreciated :)
