A staggering number are shoddy and unprofessional websites - i'd love to point fingers but many of them are clients so that might have unforseen consequences!
The thing that most hacks me off is the standard wanky flash intro for 30 secs when you just need to get a phone number or a quick glance at their staff profiles. Include a "skip intro" button ffs you clowns
heh a couple of months ago I tried to find something *quickly* on a Dutch Government website and ended up calling them instead after trawling through yards of text :/ the website was decent enough though, just content wise it sucked, and their search engine was worse than my company intranet one o0
Should never have to look for a way to go back a page.
If it takes more than 3 clicks to get to a piece of information, it fails (imho)
Flash is bad. Bad flash is worse.
Some sites are terrible, take a certain low costs airline for example, to get a email address to complain, u have to click on about us (small writing the a menu along the top), this loads a page with no apparent useful info except for a slight change to the afforementioned tiny menu, adding contact us, which brings up a list of numbers, and a new addition to the menu along the side with another different contact us link which gives u an email address
