If youre choosing between ati and nvidia, dont look into the drivers, both have good ones.

By the way, nvidia is "cheating" with drivers, and so is ati but not as much. Read some article in a magazine and using the nvidia so called "twaked" drivers it got at best 45% more points than normal. The drivers recognize the testing software used and give more points or something similar. Heres the results using 3dMark03:

Gforce FX 5900 Ultra "optimized": 4722 points
Gforce FX 5900 Ultra normal: 3186
Ati Radeon 9800 Pro "optimized": 4628
Ati Radeon 9800 Pro normal: 4546

Not surprised, the only thing you really paying anything for is the;
Athlon xp 2100 processor and the 40gbHD..

Everything else is dirt cheap..
