Just seen SAF interview on MUTV, he was very pissed off he said with players..

Basically he gave players a chance tonight and they didn't take it..

Coventry won it fair and square, the United second stringers who were given a change failed miserably and the internationals on show largely embaressed themseleves. Coventry were the best side on the night and they deserve to be in the next round, best of luck to them.

Fergie has now seen what many of us fans already knew, Dong will never be good enough, Eagles has a terrible attitude on the pitch and Anderson is looking more and more like a white elephant by the day. Nani didn't exactly cover himself in glory either. Perhaps in their defence though they saw the side Fergie picked and assumed it was either an unimportant or easy match and were not prepared for the workrate that Coventry put in. All in all though a fairly gutless performance from United's youngsters, Coventry handed them thier arses good and proper.

lol the side we put out still cost a lot, no excuses we were shockingly bad.

Anderson/Nani/Carrick alone could cost nearly 60m.

Dong will never make it, didn't impress me in pre-season.

Feck knows what is wrong with Anderson, watch youtube of his videos, you sure we signed the right player? ffs

anderson and nani arent finished products though, they have all the time in the world to hone their skills, we dont even really need them right now, theyre bit players / fill-ins

its in 2-3-4-5 years time when giggs is gone, scholes is on his way out etc that these 2 need to come good, and, they will

look at fabregas, hes been in and around the arsenal team for what, 3 years now? he was just a nice passer of the ball to begin with, would never of called him a match winner but it was evident he had some talent

now hes a fairly complete player that can dictate a game

nani has already begun to show class, the goal against tottenham was absolute top drawer, and anderson has talent, hes been in the brazil line up for what, 5-6 years now?hes already played for one top euro club, and now onto another, alex wouldnt have splashed 19m on him if he thought he was useless, but it is a bit of a waiting game, he doesnt even speak english yet!

and no veron jokes pls, as much as his "walking through manchester at midnight" stories do amuse :clap::clap:

and dongs been in belgium for like 5yrs, cant ask for more dedication than that, give him a bit of a chance yea? chris eagles looks like a 12yr old wannabe rapper so ye rip piss outta him all you want

he had one good game in 2yrs- against i think it was olympiacos though could have been panathanaikos (one was of the greek sides) where he looked like a maradona-bergkamp hybrid

then he became the worlds most expensive argentinian condom

Seba was class for us in CL games, his form was very poor in the league though which caused Fergie to lose patience with him.

Nah that is rubbish, I remember him putting Liverpool to the sword once and he did very well for us in his second season of CL football. He scored 4 goals in the group stages iirc and was the main reason we qualified.

group stages is 6 games, 6 out of 60 a season, thats what 10%? he was a waste of space most times, and the flashes of brilliance were never quite often enough. I liked him as a player as well, wishing he could turn in a decent performance week in week out but he simply couldnt do it, must have been english football, he did OK for argentina even at 34 in recent copa america if anyone was watching, still pulling the strings

but at united its fair to say he was pretty dire

hes still tied for most useless big money signing ever imo (with that denilson bloke betis bankrupted themselves on)

That is just it, he never played 60 games that season, he played 42. He scored 6 goals that year which is respectable and he was United's best player in Europe right through qualifiers and into the knockout stages where we were very unlucky to be knocked out by Real Madrid. He played 11 European games that year and was man of the match in 6 of them. Only his inconsistency in league games convinced Fergie to sell him, he did well in about half of the league games but there were some games that totally passed him by. Yes he was a waste of money when you consider we only had him 2 years but he did help us win the league and we made £14 million back by selling him so it wasn't a total loss. Some players just can't adapt to the pace of English football and sadly Seba was one of them.

Shevchenko is having the exact same problems at the moment and I doubt he will last beyond this season.
