How on earth, a southern hemisphere side can lose to england is beyond me. This is the shittest england team for as long as I can remember.

Nice to see the Eng forwards totally dominate a poor Ausie pack. The game was won at the breakdown, again awsome work by the forwards winning the ball so many times in key areas.

Not a beautiful game, more of a war of attrition but they deserved it. Nice to see Larkham and Latham in tears at the end. Three out of four of the last World Cups we have dumped them out of now :)

After all the pre game hype by certain members of the Aussie team they got their just deserts. They should learn to respect other teams rather than write them off.

So you rate this england team do you? Its not a patch on the team that won the world cup in 2003 and certainly not a patch on the team of the early 90s

That said, look at the aussie team. They have only one player of real class in the backs, being Tuqiri. The aussies had banked on Gasnier, Johns, Folau, Minichello and Inglis switching codes. Real backs who could make a difference. The fact they still insist on playing Gregan at SH shows the lack of depth they have.

Have to agree, Australia are not the team they claim to be. The ex league stars failed to make a big impression. Tiqiri's for example 5 Million Aus $, that's a million a try he scored during the world cup.

England played to their strengths and Aussies let them. Good performance by the forwards but they are not a patch on the team 4 years ago. We are missing strength in the backs, only Lewsey has really impressed. There are players out there but England just seem to ignore them.

Given the problems with England over Club Vs Country they have not done badly but it worries me that people will now think everything is fine. It would have been better, in the long term, for the team to fail at this world cup. The RFU/Clubs then would have been forced to sit down and come up with a better plan than they have now. It has to change, a sucessful England = more people playing rugby.

Although in saying that the NZ coaching had 4 years of whatever time they needed with their stars and they still chocked again.

Chris Latham and Matt Giteau aren't world class? :eek7:

I would call them good players, but not in the world class catergory. Latham couldnt even get in the wallabies team when Rodgers played union and Rodgers is dog shit. But then maybe im biased because I watch real world class backs week in week out in the NRL. I could name 15 backs who would walk into the wallabies team.

You could do better though and you could organise all the teams better then the coach’s this world cup.
