So im dropping my vent server due to probs with it/the provider.

Anyone suggest :

Hosting company
which program to use

either Ventrilo / TS 3 / Mumble

dont really have a preference, anyone used any recently, and feeling about ease of set-up, latency, blah blah ?

No problems with vent at the moment.

I think they are all much of a muchness if the server is working properly.

I host my own stuff on a digitalocean box.

Mumble hosting between 150 and 200 people a night, diddy teamspeak server hosting between 5 and 15 a night (non profit licence)

All for $5 pcm? No question :)

I will happily throw up one or the other as a public usage FH voice server, ventrilo sadly dont offer a non profit licence so no chance.

Mumble is the cheapest and is equal quality to the others in terms of voice stuff.

tldr if you want a small 5-10 man server go mumble.

Personal preference I like vent the most, then mumble, then teamspeak. but mostly because admin ease of use/UI.

Personally I prefer mumble. Digital Ocean is probably a good way to go as you can host other shizzle. If you want a discount code go watch an episode of Techsnap on Jupiter Broadcasting they've always got a code.
