well I was originally born in great dunmow, so would to be back on Essex or places like, tottenham hale, bishop stortford, Harlow etc in that neck of the woods. It may not strictly be London but it sure is as viewed from Sheffield.

I live in London, and know it like the back of my hand. Its a great city. Sure there's crime and scumbags, but you get that in every city. The media tend to blow things way out of proportion. There are some seriously dodgy parts of London (eg. Harlesden NW10, most of SE14, Angel Town Estate in Brixton, St Agnes Place in Kennington, etc) but every city has its bad areas. The good far, far outweigh the bad.

I go to SE14 on a regular and it's fine, never had any problems despite often walking home through it late at night. I live in the south east and it's fine, the chances of getting stabbed are very low. Only place i'd be a bit worried about walking through is any big concrete jungle estate, but that's the same anywhere.

So long as you avoid places like Stone Bridge estate or the Mozart estate - these where the really bad ones a few years ago - you should be alright. Most of London is fine its just a few obvious places you want to avoid like the plague.

One of my mates grew up around Mostyn Road (in Brixton) - and even he says the Angel Town Estate is a no go area.

We should send Laddey there...:p

3 Years is a long time T.

Aye tbh it feels like i only left for the weekend at times and then at other times its like a life time ago. But i am not worried about the rats etc as i have left behind a new generation - nephews - that are far bigger then i ever was and a hell of a lot meaner then i ever was. They went to school locally as well unlike us, so they know the rats even better then we did!!
