I used to play on Prydwen (alb) ages and ages ago..

I was thinking of coming back to the game , perhaps on a classic server, i understand they are like the older style of Daoc ?? (pre SI or there abouts)

Can you re-activate your char from about 2yrs ago ?

Is it worth it ?

yes you can reactivate your account, yes its worth it.

The Classic servers are like the normal servers except without the dreaded toa expansion, and without buffbots.
Which means they a hell of a lot more fun!

Just fancied having a spin on it , still cant find a game with as good PvP as daoc had.

That was my next question which realm has the lowest pop on glastonbury?

Classic server is without TOA and with ranged buffs.
Regular server with everything is still around.

What is more fun depends entirely on what you want. Classic is not more fun, or better. It's just different.

(These patches makes ToA easy to finish).

thats why I advice people coming back to roll on the cluster, becasue i suport ur theory about the major population, and i guess its better to play on a well populated server witch will be the cluster after 1.81/1.82 goes live?

ToA is becoming easymode so all these people who used a lot of blood, sweat and tears on templates(like me) can watch as some random guy who just finished being powerleveled in PoC/AC get all the Artifacts/Scrolls in one easy go when I spent nearly 6 months getting my 3 mains toaed up :/

makes it ez mode to toa up your chars classic is nice change from the toa abilities, but tbh after a while you kinda miss em. Ye i tried rl for a couple years, it turned round and spat in my face so i returned to my beloved daoc.

cause you only need arti credit+ book to activate artis
cause scrolls drop at uber nice rate
cause artis lvl at an extremaly high rate (got 3-4% per oj kill in frontier with my sorc on us)
some of the low utility artis gain a small boost like eerie darkness stone was 3% to all resist gain 5% to all magic and 4% to all melee and the likes

so nothing bad about 1.81 really

Classic is a server without toa but with Catacombs and Darkness rising

Only Classic, Si and Catacombs zones and buffs on this server are restricted to people you are grouped with as well as on a range(think its 500)

rolled on alb/glast lasted till lvl 18 before i was bored
so play pryd as my cleric/friar/sorc a few nights a week

Its important to realise what viewpoint people are shooting from here.
A lot of people who stayed on the cluster (which has toa, that gets made easier in 1.81) are hoping that everybody will rush back to the normal servers once toa gets easier.
However from those i've spoken to on the classic server, most have no intention of moving back because classic is just more fun, toa or not.

I'd go classic for the pre-SI style play, if everybody moves back to normal servers regardless, people will start leveling up there.
