How can i say this without hurting any feelings...

This game now bores me.

The majority of people who play this game with me bore me.

These people have nothing better to talk about outside of how many rp they have or what jewel they found.

RvR is repetative. After you done a week of it you seen it all.

Level 50 is more boring than any other lvl, all that can make it intresting is the people you play with...and this is very very sad...

This saddens me. If it didnt saden me i wouldnt feel it pertinant to post. I will not be continuing my subscription after it runs out. Most of my friends have now left... and the ones who are left...keep your " uber damage" and your " uber staff of boringness"

Come on flame me...prove to me you have opinions!! outside that of whether or not to use style blah or style bleh..boring boring boring...wow you have 3mill rp...geez i think you guys should be piityd not praised!


PS yes i played alot at one point..ive seen the light and am taking my life back with both hands !

TBH i`d rather not talk about DAoC in game and discuss with the other players ingame stuff when we meet up.

I think you are missunderstanding the staement being made.

Basically ALOT of people in the game have no personality and if they are like this in real life probably get beaten up alot. By people like me because they are rude and arrogant, caring only for themselves and not for anyone elses feelings.

However, there are a few people i know that make the a game world a pleasent enough place when i am grouped/chatting with them. Unfortunatley this is very rare.

I started playing on the US role play servers and after six months there came to the euro servers cause I just didn't want to get up at 3am any more for a relic raid...

I can see where you are coming from in one respect.....although I never role played before I found it all a lot of fun..the xp, rp's and loot came along as part of the evenings events.... mostly unnoticed cause we were having a great time with each other...the game was the vehicle we shared for this.

What I have noticed here in Excalibur is that the xp, rp's and loot seems to be the driving force for a lot of people and that can get very one dimensional if you let it....almost an expanded Diablo 2 in concept.

Having said all that I have met some great people on this server who do have time for others and it has been associating with those people that has kept me here rather than migrating back to the US servers.

My question to you though is ..what are you doing to change your circumstances apart from leaving the game?..remember you get out of everything in life (including this game) exactly what you put in to it...there are loads of insane things you can do with guildies, friends, etc just for fun rather than rp's or xp..the choice is yours.

You say being 50 is boring...in some respects I can agree with that if zerging emain is all you feel you have left to do in the game. How many of your guildies would appreciate your help in doing their epics with them? How many hunting trips have you organised for the lower orders in the guild?

I don't mean this post to be a flame..I just want people to open their eyes to more possibilities that exist than doing banshees then doing fins then doing emain.

dunno who and what lvl Anno's 4th is, but i think chalice's Hero is 43 or even 44 now, so i think that race is decided allready

If you play the game for RPs or experience you will most likely end up getting bored of it. If you want to enjoy the game after you're bored of RP/XP horniness, then change your focus.

Most people in real life are just as bland as they appear to be in the game - if you make no effort to get to know them better.

Seriously though mate would be a shame to see you go. I been a little down with the xp thing and have taken a break but i cant wait to get back to it this weekend my energy is renewed.

Guess a game cant last for ever though (Game dont even stock DAOC any more according to my store) & if ur not having fun then its time to move on.

The thing i don't understand about some people who made previous posts like this: what the hell makes u think that other people should make an effort so u can enjoy your game more?

Maybe the reason u cannot amuse yourself if simply because you're a boring person perhaps?? Not making an insult here since i don't know u but just pointing out the fact that u make your own game and that u really cannot expect others to amuse u all the time.

I experience a lot of nice and funny conversations a lot of the time and this can only be done by people who know how to make me laugh. I achieved that by showing them a bit of myself so they got to know me a bit.

If u don't like RvR then don't go, if u don't like XP then don't, if u want some nice conversations then find some nice people to have them with (cause i know they are there), if u like a fun hunt then make one. But don't come in here accusing people of lack of personality simply cause u apperently cannot amuse yourself in any way.

What comes around goes around and if u can't find what u are looking for then goodbye and have a happy life. No need to accuse everyone else that is still enjoying this game of personality problems now is there? Btw... people with personality problems are found everywhere, not only in DaoC.

Maq-Attack, I think you'll find that very few people in this game are genuinly unpleasant.

..and if you seriously beat up people who are unpleasant to you in RL then leave now, you're exactly the kind of person this game doesn't need.

NB having no pesonality is not the same as having an unpleasant personality, arrogance and disrespect for others are personality attributes, although not favourable ones. Claiming that those you dislike have no personality, because you do not wish to get to know them, is closer to the arrogance you seem to wish to find in others, than the practices of most players in game.

Again, if you truely act violently to those who offend you then please do not reply, I belive most here will have no interest in the opinions of such people.

Llixer, shame to see you go mate, but i have to agree that you have some control over the overall group enjoyment whilst doing anything in the game. Odd how you seem not to find many people with personalities, when i would say my experiance of groups is about 90% fun and enjoyable. One suggestion i do have, is to merge your guild or join another, you have four active members, which probably means only two of you are on alot of the time at once. The guild i'm in help through those boring waits at DL, or if im in not such a lively group.

I think that maybe your real problem is that your bored with the game more than the people, i would hope thats true, because i've made many daoc friends (i'd like to think of them as that) in the last 6-7 months, and as in RL some are very funny, some are quiet, some joke around alot and others seem distant, but it's harsh to judge the whole realm boring. Good luck anyways mate.

What im saying is that the game is made more intresting at lvl 50 by the people i play with.

If these people cant hold up a conversation outside of the fact that they not getting enough rp, that they cant find a bard etc etc then this makes the game less enjoyable.

In regard to your post Ziva, no you dont know me, and dont try and presume anything about my personality. What i am saying is a genralisation (sp) hence not the entire populus of DAoC. Of course there are people who can make the game more enjoyable for others. But unfortunatly most are more intrested in how many rp they have..will be getting, i found that on a RP shard for UO although the people were less..they were more willing to give up some of there time to engage in the seemingly lost art of friendly conversation.

Heh, yeah, some people are emotionless 'omfg ololol1!!'ers but thats life, and its many flaws. I'd say DAoC is abit less a rpg and a team based fighting game, RvR is the ultimate Goal in the game imo, nothing else really gives as much reward, well I guess all MMOG's are like that anyway
Cant really just say, "Dont quit" friendships in MMRPG's are alot of times as cheap as a Friendship in a Fins exping Group ;p cept those few exeptions where its clear enough to you that your friends.

And Defineatly if a game feels like it takes away too much time or wastes it (In worse ways then others ;P ) and you gotta pay for it, it really isn't worth it, is it?
I found that out with AO and UO (In the end).

Would be a shame if you left the game on those grounds mate. (lol even though I've sold my account on and left the game myself) But I see where your coming from. Theres only so much you can do to make the game experience enjoyable without requiring input from fellow gamers I guess this is where you find the problem.

Of course there are a lot of sad geeks with no lives who play the game but there is also a lot of nice people who you can have really interesting conversations with and joke about with etc. I guess its just a case of finding these players and sticking with them and if you can't find enough of them or your finding that they are leaving the game too. I suggest the best thing for you is to do the same....
