You're basicly wanting an animated gif file with sound or can the result file be in any form?

Aye, an animated gif file with sound. Or if i could make the gif file into a video file and then add sound somehow.

I'm not sure, but quite confident, that you can use windows movie maker to make a video file that has a picture and sound. Atleast you can with jpg's.

If not, then you can use a converter to convert the gif into a jpg and then use WMM to make a video file of the sound and jpg.

I doubt it can make an animated gif file with sound though.

I have to tamper around a bit, but i'll let you know if i find anything worth while.

Gifs wont support sound, they are purely image files.
If its for a webpage then you can have the web page play an mp3 or wav onloading.
But people who put music files on webpages that load and play when you view them, have all been spawned in the bum gut of satan and I look forward to the day they all return there ;)

Flash is your best bit, hell you can even convert a gif to an avi quite easily and add sound like others have recommended.
