columns

anyone able to point me in the right direction for a "columns" type script?
"Columns" as in the stuff used by many a "techy/news" site. Nothing as l33t as BW's column system but something like B0rk's.

I can think of a long winded way of doing columns but there must be a "script" (for want of a better word) out there?

trouble is I can't find the fekker!

hhmm... you mean the pull down menus at the top?

i think they're a function of asp, but i dont know much aboiut that so i'm probebrly wrong.

a good way to make that effect is to use flash, but then u have the problem of learning action script......

I was also wondering if anyone has a news system which enables you to have comments on each news post? At the moment, I'm using newsPHP - and it's good, but isn't good enough. Not enough extensions or whatever for it either. I want some advanced stuff which is easy to set up and configure and all that stuff.

Their links point to a private company which doesn't seem to offer it and their CGI links are b0rked.
