Coincedences

Before I start, I would like to state for the OT record that I am not superstitious. I step on drains, walk under ladders (if they look sturdy) and do not need to turn the lights on and off 5 times to save my life everytime.

I've been noticing more and more strange things going on of which I'm SURE I'm not alone with, today 3 strange occurances happened.

1:The mother was off to the shops and asked if there was anything I wanted whilst she was out. I sat and wondered for a while before thinking about margaritas! I thus asked her to get me a bottle of tequila when she was out and a lime. I then switched on the television and the simpsons were on and lo and behold, it was the one where maggie gets chicken pox and the neighbours are invited over for a 'pox' party and the adults had margaritas!

2:I just finished watching the Adam Sandler film called 'click'. Before logging onto here. I don't know if anyone here has seen it but there are a couple of scenes where the family dog ends up trying to do its business with a stuffed toy (no pun intended). I then log onto here, straight onto FH, straight onto OT and straight onto sealys 'conehead' thread. What do I see when I scroll down the thread? Two people talking about a randy dog.....the first thread I checked...

I forgot the third but it was along the same lines...

It has been specifically this week where more and more random coincedences like this have happened. I've talked with my friends before about this whereby you will hear a new word (doesn't happen often anymore) and before long you notice the word cropping up all over the place straight after hearing it apparently for the first time. It doesn't matter how obscure the word is or anything, it's just there

I don't quite know why I started this thread. Discuss I suppose.

On a serious note, we had a discussion(long and heated) with a couple of friends yesterday about...coincidences. And here you are talking about it.

Though what you really experienced is two scenarios where you simply noticed the similarities.

If those counted as coincidences, you're missing like 90% of them daily.

I can't recall a single other simpsons episode off the top of my head where they're drinking margaritas though and randy dogs aint exactly the first thing I read from a thread when I log on here everyday, nor do I see it 5 minutes prior to that happening everyday.

I'm not talking about mystic meg 'a man in a red piece of clothing is going to win the lottery tonight!' and next weeks show a guy comes on after winning £10 in a red hat It's events which have made me take a step back in confusion this last week or so especially.

coincidences is something i believe strongly in. there is some element of spirituality about it so people will probably pass it off as bull shit.

one of the main things that happend was when i quit my job last year and then everything that happend because of that. i quit my job, went on holiday and came really close friends with people i already knew and met other people there who are still close friends to this day. without these particular people im not sure what may of happend to me.
i already sort of believed in this type of thing before i went, and guess what... i became real good friends with someone who believed in the same thing, then she bought me some books about it so i could understand it better.

a lot of it is quite personel and complex so i will finish with this - if coincidences start happening to you a lot, take notice of them. try remember in detail what happend and then the things that followed on. the more you can take notice of them the more often they will come and they will get more complex.

or if you think it sounds bull shit, just shrug them off

There are what ? 6 billion people in the world. There are 12 star signs. The crap that these horoscope idiots put in the newspapers will affect one in twelve people on the planet.

So if one of these crackpots writes for Leo "Today you will get run over by a horse but your penis will be found by an old women who will microwave and eat it", and this happens to some poor sod, is it a coincidence ? Or just a load of bollocks ?

Horoscopes are the exact same as fortune tellers such as Mystic Meg. Personally I think that type of thing is a lot down to psychology. Those who beleive in that will pick apart any preminition they're told and with it subconciously in their brain, will end up finding a link, no matter how small and say 'wow, that's awesome!'.

Personally I beleive psychology can tell you a lot about a person but fortune tellers are just playing off of a similar theme. It's a different subject really though.

No more little things like that yet today but then again, I only woke up half hour ago

the type of coincidences that happen to me are not that fancy, but there sure is a lot of them, for instance picking up my phone to call a friend and the exact same moment the friend calls me, or when i hear that someone is eating something very delicious and i think 'damn i wish the store near here sold it' and i go to that store 20 min later and they have just started selling it.

i guess you can find connections in almost everything, and every little random thing that happens affects the happening of another random thing, yet they all remain random. if that makes any sense

little coincidences are quite normal and the more you take notice then the more you will see them. when i could see them more, i used to think i could tell when they would happen. and then what will result from that. i understand if most of you think im talking shit, i probably would think that if someone was telling me this.

last week i had dozens of them. mainly it was thinking "im gonna recieve a txt from so and so about now". so id leave my room to find my phone and as soon as i got there id recieve a message. im not trying to say i can predict the future and tell fortunes and shit like that. what im saying is you can use it to your advantage to get things done quicker, if you get me.

like the quicker i can get to see the message or answer that call, the quicker things will move on. the only way we get the exact future we do, is because things previously happend at those exact times (imo ofc). if i got to it later, then things would of happend differently.
