I drink Coca Cola and see no reason why it should be banned. Along with ready salted crisps. But please ban Dairylea and Sugar Puffs.

Chocolate Hobnobs should be paid for by the government, so we get them free.

The only drink that should be free, nay mandatory, is Angelina Jolie's love juice.

Xtro pls don't mention Angelina Jolie in my presence m8.

The last time someone did, I was in tesco and I ended up in jail on an indecent exposure charge.

I saw a trailer for the new Tomb Raider movie in the cinema the other day. I embarassed myself terribly by guffawing like a moose giving birth to a tract0r when she opened a mac and glided like a flying squirrel.

And she mings.

Jolt Cola > All other colas

Nuff sed, more caffiene, more sugar, more shit. I once gave TedTheDog 2 cans to drink when we were working at DL. He was so fucking hyperactive for 24hrs (he couldn't sleep as well hehe).

Shame I can't seem to find it anymore over here. Bastards.

I'm drinking my suggested liquid (See above) right now.

At least that's what the Texan from E-bay said it was.

Vimto > all

Now thats out of the way, all this talk of banning Coke seems a bit harsh, after all the report doesn't actually make a clear and consise link between deaths/illnesses and the sludge being produced by Coca-cola.

A lot of the "evidence" is supposition, whilst the BBC conducted a scientific test on the sludge and found it to be "toxic", there was no test or survey on the actual effects.

In toxicology the well known phrase is the dose is the poison, any chemical substance taken in great enough quantities is fatal, even water for example, but trace levels (even exceeding WHO standards) stilll need to be proven as giving a toxic dose, otherwise it is pure speculation.

Some scientists have speculated that radio waves can cause cancer, does this mean we propose a ban on a major radio wave transmitter, say, like BBC Radio 4 ?

The sludge is getting into the water supply through the efforts of the farmers, not Coca-cola, so any banning would have to be made there by local environmental regulations, whilst none exist them Coca-cola is not breaking any laws.

I am loathe to defend the activities of companies like Coca-cola, but I don't think using scare tactics (FUD) is the way to demonise them.

Buts that typical of the way news is reported these days.

They make wild accusations and guesses without getting any hard facts first.

That annoys me no end.
