Thought i would have a go at a Cleric template, but i dont know if +power is any good on casters???? so i havent bothered putting it in. The guy iv made it for wants +11 smite so dont flame that bit. )

not sure tbh, i dont play a cleric so just asked which stats u want capping.
i know dex,con,piety deffo need capping.
but if a cleric wants to solo hes ganna need str so he can at least fight.

Clerics with any kind of enh spec should (imho) look to carry a fair amount of +STR so they can carry a ram solo.

With the 15/30/50% self dps buff in v1.60 it will also go a long way to help soloing too. :)

But CON, PIE, DEX, Hits and resists are of course at least as important.

+enhance does practically nothing for a level 50 cleric thanks to caps. So dump it.

+ rejuv only reduces heal variance, and only then up to your current level (so you don't want +11 if the cleric has over 35 rejuv).

+ smite is again damage variance reduction. But the question has to be asked, does the cleric in question use *any* of the smite spells? Base smite dd is simply not used by many clerics (and then only to break mez or pull), while stun isn't affected by +smite, so unless the cleric in question is a 35+ smite cleric, you don't really need any +smite.

+Power is useless, like on other casters.

So, without refering to the jewelry bonuses...

Dump +enhance, check if you need +rejuv or +smite, then finish off capping those resists, espeicially cold. Also consider a little +QUI if the cleric in question has high enhance spec (29 or higher) because hammer swinging becomes a more viable sideline after 1.60.

I have high str so that I can carry a whole ram for keep takes - self buffed I can take a whole ram (including wood) and 200 extra wood on top :) I think a respec to a little more enhance will allow me to carry a whole catapult :m00:

+rejuv is worthless, it only helps with variance of base heals - most healing is spec which it doesn't effect.

+enhance mostly worthless, I believe it only effects base buffs the same as +rejuv only effecting base heals. But I haven't tested this one yet so take it with a pinch of salt.

+smite will reduce your variance, but again only on base smite. If you have high enough smite to be using spec it won't help. If your smite spec is so low u don't get a decent spec smite then the little extra +11 won't really help ;)

So.... dump all +spec, have some +quick for weapon blows, keep high +str and increase resists. Oh, and go for piety bracer instead of the shield one as the +shield spec is wasted on a cleric. Then u can reduce the spell crafted pie by 6 and spend the point elsewhere.

Good luck, and all I can say is lucky git - I still can't afford to buy the armour to get it spell crafted :(

cant chang the Sheild bracer as the guy already done quest and chosen his bracers ). ill ask him if he wants to dump all his + in skills as from your replys they seem pretty pointless.

As you say, no effect on spec buffs which always cast at 1.25xdelve.

Base buffs could theoretically be raised to 1.25xdelve. Only at level 50 1xdelve is enough to cap them all. So don't bother. Only possible use for +enhance is on a lowbie cleric casting base buffs on a higher level character.

Why dump all the epic bits?
I managed to get a perfect sc'ed kit for me (capped pie, con, dex, hits, resists etc), by only crafting my hauberk and boots, (the crappy bits), and a new weapon and shield.
Why waste money when its not needed?

bored out of my head off work with flu, so been messing with the spell crafting program most of day. done a setup for my brothers wizzy, damm they got it hard not having a Sword and board to SC upon. same for all 2H classes.
hes a fire wizzy so had a blast for him on a MP suit.
+4 sheild is from bracer quest not sure why he picked it, think it was accident. if anyone got a SC wizzy setup done which is better post it, save me a job if refining or redoing one for othello.

The two handed item is a shield purely for buffing purposes, it makes a slight difference and doesnt cost that much anyhow :p
The only item which was a pain to get in there was the ring of malice, but do enough legion raids and voila.

I've been gathering bits and bobs from lots of places so I can make the config that Vorcyn posted. I have also played around with the settings a bit, making the chest and feet MP, because I plan to make them myself when I get enough skill (long time in the future I'm thinking :p). And I have overcharged them more than in the posted config. My aim was to get more strength :)

I'm just having one problem...I need a belt of granite enhancement. I'm guessing it's fairly obvious where it comes from...Dartmoor, but I spent about an hour killing greens/blues/yellows yesterday and didn't get anything really. I was wondering if anyone has one or do I have to either wait for jewelcraft or make a group to go and farm for them? I'm also missing a Ring of Malice so if anyone wants to sell one of them to me (saving me the trouble of arranging a prince raid) then I would be grateful :) I'm at college atm so I'll post my revised config later if you are lucky :p

Shield has a reactive damage shield proc.
Mace has a weapon damage shield proc.

Hope you are aware that reactive procs firing off of shields is offcially considered a bug. Shields are supposed to be considered weapons by Mythic and so procs should only fire when using shield styles in RvR.

If it works for you then great, but you should consider that it may stop working in a future patch if it ever gets 'fixed'.

Also, why damage shield? That must be doing what, 20 damage per hit?

I'd think the DoT proc or even more ablatives would make more sense?

Vile's kit looks good, although I don't have many of the items listed and I can't be arsed to get them and I'm busy working towards Vorcyn's :) It still includes that belt of granite enhancement, which I can't find on any websites and no one seems to know anything about...anyone has one?

If you're looking to cap + rejuv, get some Cracked Gear rings instead of the DF ones (And watch the friars cry as you use them :p) and use one or two Veiled Eye bracers. Deffo get a better cloak; the Oil Rags from TK is very good, and hooded as well. Other than that, the SP in Sidi has a rather gimped cloak, which is still better than the Renitency. Scurceol's belt is still a patch away for most people (/em cheers at his :)).

Enhance does serve a function if you have a low spec - but there is absolutely no need to run around with bonuses to it when you're not actively buffing. Therefore get a spare shield/hammer/staff (staff for looks!) with +7 enhance (easy enough with a 99% one) and use that when buffing.

1.61 patch notes seems to suggest that no single buff will in future be capped on a level 50.

Which means that +enhance will probably now do something for people with <50 spec natural enhance who are casting base buffs.

Maximum gain from +11 would, I suspect, be in the order of +5 to each base buff stat (because maximum gain from enhance = 50, is 25% of buff delve). This is assuming +11 does not take you beyond 50.

Still not worth missing out on resists, HP, CON, STR, PIE, or DEX for imho, but now it probably does qualify as worth the time and effort to click the imbue button.

So if this is correct, I'd suggest using an mval of 1 x (+enhance) value when assessing items (as opposed to zero, which I would have used previously). I come to that by suggesting....

Every 2 +enhance will probably grant +1 STR, CON, DEX through base buffs (spec buffs are unaffected by +enhance). It also probably grants +1 AF from the relevant buff, but that will have no effect on anything - so we can ignore it.

That's 1.5 attribute points per +enhance point.

1.5 attribute points have an mval of 1 when calculating utility.

This also assumes that STR, CON, DEX have not reached 300 (quite possible; my CON is 284 atm with only 29 enhance spec, higher CON buffs, and/or the odd realm ability could easily hit 300 - and my STR is not far behind at 270). I assume none of STR, CON, DEX, give benefit over 300?

my current armour/items give all specs capped, except smite is 1 off :) It's just my epic armour, with DM shield (+4 to all), with goblet from barrows (+2 to all) and epic ring.
