Is cleartype worth enabling, concidering the performance hit? SiSoftware Sandra benchmark utility told me to take it off :|

For laptops (where performance isn't really an issue), very much YES.

Gav, I didn't notice any performance hit on my machine, and considering ours are practically the same spec....

Well, me nethier... but it said something like disabling it can dramtically increase system performance, *shrugs*

Nobody's taking my ClearType off me.

Anyway, the Microsoft Typography site allows you to tweak your ClearType settings without the need for 3rd party utilities.

No really, it makes the words FUZZY or crts. Very good for TFT screen though!

Cleartype is a fookin godsend, and I'd never use an XP machine without it on now.
