Classes!

Hey there guys!!

Now that the release date have been released i im starting to look into which class to play and such!
I have found which classes are gonna be playable, by i am struggling to find good information about if its a melee dps, ranged and so on. Can you guys help me?

Classes are:
Black Orc Tank - ?
Squig Herder Medion range dps - pet
Shaman - Healer / ranged dps

Chosen
Magus
Zealot
Marauder

Witch Elf
Disciple Of Khaine
Sorceress

Ironbreaker - Tank?
Runepriest - healer type?
Engineer - medium range dps?

Bright Wizard
Warrior Priest
Witch Hunter

Swordmaster
White Lion
Archmage
Shadow Warrior

I know fact that they have tryed to make it so that there is no pure healer and so on. But cant some1 help me get a hint of what they are ?

( have put in the info i know my self. )

1st) Warhammer Online : Age of Reckoning everything that can be said is there, NDA is still up, try to find official reports.
2nd) Who are ya?
3rd) Or you can just w8 , OB really soon. NDA is going to be lifted then.

hmm i thought it seemed quite easy but sure i can help for what i know...

Empire:
Bright Wizard - Mage, dmg dealer
Warrior Priest - Tank/healer type
Witch Hunter - Range dps/melee dps

High Elf:
Swordmaster - Tank
White Lion - Tank with Pet
Archmage - Mage type with healing
Shadow Warrior - Range dps not bad at melee

Dwarf:
Ironbreaker - Tank
Runepriest - Healer buffy type with some range dps
Engineer - Range dps sort of tankish also

Chaos:
Chosen - Tank
Magus - Mage range dps
Zealot - Healer/mage type
Marauder - Tank

Dark elf i've not really looked into and your Greenskin one is spot on. These are what ive thought the classes are by just reading what info i can find on them, they might be different though. Maybe when the CoC/NDA thingy lifts some beta players could shed some light on them alot more.

very true but since ive not played beta nor seen any released beta footage of them, any weapon wielding class sounds like a tank atm, when OB starts i can then test one out

1: i know, been reading tons there, but was looking for infos like the on fefner gave!

2: see my sig, played mostly before ToA release where i played with Llaw, Vengeance and random roleplayers.
After that i kinda quit to to crappy comp and hated ToA, but came back from time to time and played different chars.

3:i could, but i cant wait to get hold of informations for this game, i wanna play it.

Hey there..

Tbh Saks trying to find out any 'real' info on any of the classes seems near impossible cos of the NDA. All you get are little teases. Scoured the web for videos that may give some better insights on the classes but most of them are crap.

Sure u get to see the game play, in the hands of ppl that dont seem to have a clue about the class they are playing. Just watched a yawnfest of a witchhunter video where the guy was just randomly running around away from his group and trying to engage 2-3 chaos melee players at once. All I learned there was witch hunter dies in about 3 secs going toe to toe with 2 witch elves and a chosen.. lol..

Funniset thing was the guy kept doing the same thing over and over.. Out of the 20 or so rvr videos I've found only a fraction have been informative. Out of all the sites I've found I'd say this has been the most informative. HammerWiki - HammerWiki : The definitive Warhammer Online wiki.

I guess we will have to experiment in open beta to see whats what, and hope what u decide to go with don't get wacked with the nerf bat before retail
