Class and Ability questions.

PLace to ask questions about classes, abilities and the likes.

Here's one to start off with;

Juggernaut - Do the damage reductions(generic stance, shield etc) stack, or are they calculated one by one. As in, is it 60%+40%, or 60% first, then 40% off that?

Other one is; do damage reduction shields affect the damage taken from your guarded target? As in, if i have my companion guarded, does my CD shield reduce that damage as well, or is it just from direct damage?

They stack additively, and no guard does not get reduced damage by shield procs or stances. The only thing that can reduce the damage you take from guard is your companions damage mitigation.

Ah poo. Was hoping i could send my companion in for "softening up" mobs, then grab aggro when they were almost down and keep popping guards(etc) to reduce damage

Very true, and very annoying.

Should just work the exact same way it did in DAoC, where your personal block chance mattered.
