Exactly, anyone who doesn't get the original is a gay of massive proportions, anyone who doesn't see what it did has aids of the brain.

Blimey, I saw it in the cinema when it came out, I must be oozing testosterone, either that or I'm just very old.

As it happens I have a lot of Harryhausen movies on VCR/DVD and I'm a big fan, I shall be taking my kids to see this one, but probably not in 3D after seeing the headache inducing Pocahontas remake with aliens.

Just got back from seeing it with the kids.

(interesting screenplay)+(stop motion) > (wooden actors)+(CGI).

Kids enjoyed it tho.

It is a bit poo, sadly :<

Some love has clearly gone into the effects but that can't help a shoddy script alongside the great sweeping camera shots that don't seem to add anything to the already stagnant atmosphere.

Quite liked Charon though.

Good article and it does explain a lot of the rough edges in the film. I found the whole God v Man angle a little silly, but with a bit more explanation and some joined up thinking in the film it could have made more sense. And, yes, the ending was excruciatingly bad.
