I could recommend Air's first and second albums, seeing as Kez took the obvious :) . I'm also a huge fan of Chicane, myself, but most others feel differently about them :/

Lot around atm, seems to be growing in popularity with all our stressed lives, I guess...

  • Joolz Gianni - Silver (Wierd, but I like it)
  • Sweet Lullaby (Don't know artist)
  • Enya - May it Be (Any off LOTR album)
  • Enigma - Return to innocence
  • Theme From Harry's Game

Just a few of my favourites, i'd suggest looking through chillout albums on cddb.com so you can get names of the songs to download, that's what I do.

Chicane are good, leave em be :)

As bb said the LotR album is quite relaxing

Classic Chillout 2 is out btw :)

Ahh fuck it, there was an album released recently of Gregorian Monk chanting set to a dancey soundtrack, very Enigma-ish, it's good too. Can't remember the damn name of it now.

Ono, you're cleary on some sort of substance. This is the voice inside your head: "You are not to post on barrysworld tonight! You are not to post on barrysworld tonight! You are not to post on barrysworld tonight!"

pachelbel - canon in D minor (possibly the most relaxing piece of music ever written)

Enya - Let it be (lord of the rings sound track)

Sarah McLachlan - angel (Same woman that sang for delerium's silence but this is a very very very beautiful song by a very talented singer)

gladiator soundtrack - now we are free

Some recommendations from the huge collection of chillout music I have.

  • Massive Attack (obviously)
  • The Chilled Euphoria albums - the first one is still my all time fave chillout CD
  • Chicane - Behind the Sun
  • Gladiator OST
  • A CD called Pure Moods - has Enya, Enigma, Jean Michele Jarre, Tubular Bells etc on it
  • Mike and the Mechanics - the living years (this is where the list gets dodgy)
  • Lighthouse Family - High
  • Innovative and Intelligent Drum n Bass works a treat
  • Pink floyd - Dark Side of the Moon
  • Most Classical music works wonders

And thats just off the top of me head. Sure I can think of more.

adiemus, they are a sort of choral "thing". one of their tracks was used for the cheltenham and gloucester commercial.. y'know, with the indonesian boy swimming underwater finding a pearl etc etc...

the one that SomeGuy "transcribed" sounded vaguely similar to the one on the c&g ad, which is called "song of tears" by adiemus.
