It isnt about enjoying them win, it is about saying fuck me they played amazing the deserved to win. To say that you would not have enjoyed the 7-1 win over Roma makes me question your support for the sport at all tbh.

I watched it at a mates house, with 2 "united" supporters and another who dislikes united, I said, i have more hate for united, than all the love for united in that entire stadium, and they all laughed and pretty much agreed :p thats the way i am.

When you support a small club in the north west, or any small club in the country for a lesser extent, your life is made hard by united because to get kids to come in the gates we have to beat the appeal of a club like united and all the glory that comes with it and the fact they are so easy to "support" as everything is in the news and on TV. Also they have to get over the fact that in school they will get the piss taken for supporting lower league teams. I lived in bury when in school and witnessed this kind of stuff against bury fans.

You dont realise the affect that united and their supports attitudes has on lower leaue clubs. Collecting money to save oldham, people got jeered at by united fans, people that had probably never been to old trafford in thier lives. They feel they have the right to do it and thats its some sort of banter when they, in my eyes, have no real passion for the game at all and with that attitude they should fuck off and support a rugby team or somthing.

As ive mentioned before going to lower league clubs, even non-league and the reception you get is amazing and willing to help out. The day before one of the old bury-oldham derby games which were always great fun, bury announced in the press financial troubles, tuesday night, oldham fans turned up in droves and filled burys stadium and thier buckets with money. There is a kind of commradeship between teams out of the top flight, cant quite pin it to anything but i think its just that we are all in the same boat.

Thats my view on things and has been wound up a lot lately by all these complaints about chelsea and their money, united have been winning ecause of money for years, someone else does it and its an absolute disgrace. Chelsea get thier money from russia, united from shirt sales and china, no difference.

Thats my opinion and it wont change, no need to flame it or whatever.

I will try not to bring it up every 5 minutes but thats my opinion. There is no passion in united supports. Supporting a lower league team going to the games, experiencing the apnosphere, the ups and downs, the passion and the love for your team and the frustration aswell :p I just dont see that from united fans, even though i know one who has a season ticket, he has the united arrogance and no respect for anything thats not top 4, ifs its not top 4 it doesnt exist. If you have any passion for football then you should show respect for all levels of football, as next season oldham could knock united out of the fa cup and thats football and why people love it. When we beat Man City, who have been our biggest rivals for years and knock them out of the cup was an amazing experience. I also pity people who support united as they will never have the real experience of supporting a team and i wish some would see that and support thier local team. But yeh ive gone on and some people are probabaly going to whine at me for whatever, killing time while waiting for a lift at uni and damn this keyboard sucks :p

and here is the little club syndrome. "I support a non premiership side, therefore I am a better supporter".

Brite its BS. Ive sat in the stretford end a couple of times this season and the passion from the united fans is second to none. You cant say united supporters arent true fans. Its absolute Horseshit. Yes, fans of clubs like oldham should be applauded for sticking with their team, but to slag off fans of other teams, just because they dont support their nearest team is just silly.

Lets say my Local team Fleetwood, get into the conference, or the football leagues (it could happen, they are only 2 leagues of the conference). Should I stop supporting Everton and support them instead?

Nah sheridan, I am not gonna get involved in the buying this and that, but there is a difference. I do not agree with what chelsea are doing becase no company would be allowed to run at over 80Million loss. He isnt just funding players he funding the running of the entire club at the moment.

Shirt sales and stuff well thats no one elses business but the buyers of the shirts. Yes Man Utd have spent a lot of money on players but they have not just went out and bought 18 players capable of doing it. It has always been a player here and a player there.

I feel for you and your club but do not expect sympathy from me because I made a different choice to you, I love football to play and to watch, I have been to about 50 matches in my time which is not alot by other supporters standards, but I just do not get it I like watching replays. If by atmosphere you mean fans hurling insults and swear words at each other then yeah I bet it is a good time for all :)
