gettin back to the subject.
I went into our local PC shop yesterday and asked for a cheap soundcard (sounds sound, right??)
He gave me a jetway thing for a tenner. I asked for summat upto about 15 quid, thinkin the jetway would be complete arse. The blokes eyes lit up
"well for £14.99 you can have this Creative thing, but if you can stretch to £18 you can have an SB128"
Paid me money and off I went.
Not sure its worth payin much more than that, how different can it sound through earphones anyway.? If it was full-on surround sound, sneakin-up behind you, hear the breathing in your ear job, then maybe Id stretch to, oooh £30.
Just my ramblings really.

Great card, though I feel its getting a little long in the tooth now (though as I've not heard sound out of the audigy etc. on my setup, I can't know how much better it is, and I'm not forking out for minimal performance gain)
