I'm finally moving to Bracknell next week for this year-in-industry malarky, but I'm in need of a new computer chair for lovely comfort. However, I'm completely broke having just finished my uni year, so I'm in need of cheap stuff for the time being.
I have to buy a bed and some wardrobe/shelve type things as well, and while my parents are lending me money until payday (I have some substantial moving in expenses for the house rental as well... :() costs are trying to stay low.

Essentially, so long as it swivels and goes up and down and wont fall apart immediately, it's good for me. As much as I'd love a person-swallowing leather beast, I'm well aware that it's not going to happen ;).

If they don't do delivery then it really needs to be in the Cambridge, Stanstead of Bracknell area as they're the only places I'm realistically going to be able to collect from.

Thanks muchly.

I'm working in the web team for Fujitsu-Siemens. It's a completely internal department (other departments are our "customers"), which is nice since the savings in suits is substantial...

... I'm thinking that stealing office furniture on my first day wouldn't be the best way to start ;)

I used to have one from Ikea and the piston thing in it that makes it go up and down sprang a leak after a few weeks, so after sitting on it for more than an hour you'd be almost on the floor :/

I got a pretty nice one from Staples for £40 now

Gah. Now you ask. We've just moved out of our offices is Bracknell (right across the roundabout from Fujitsu if you're in the tower block) and we've binned an entire building's worth of desks and chairs etc.

Oh well, as I sit in my very comfy new chair, you could always nip over to the office and ask nicely if they've got any left (I think the movers have taken everything away now though...)

*cry* ... is the bin near Fujitsu-Siemens building? ;)

And Summo, wandering round a not-exactly-small company saying "Do you know Summo?" might get me put on the "loony list". Where abouts do they work?

That chair is pretty nice but dunno if I'd pay 90 quid for it. Nice computer chair but you can't exactly kick back in it. But the high quality chairs are way too expensive. I found a website with reasonably priced desk chairs but lost the bookmark reinstalling windows :(

shovel, office world on newmarket road do some nice leather ones for not too expensive, I got a really nice comfy one for 100 quid, but they do cheaper ones than that. Also staples on mitchams corner do loads and they do some vaguely damaged ones for well cheap, kind missing thread style damage etc..

Why is everyone moving to Bracknell? I've just escaped from there. Don't do it! It's a hellish Southern scumpit.

It's only for a year Jonny ;)

I've decided to nab a chair from home for the short term, then get something cushy after payday#1 :) God I miss having money.

Ta for the Viking link y'all.
