this program rocks...but I stopped using it because it apparently has illegal features. Shame really because it has so many features that should have been in the game in the first place. Possibly the best feature is that it tells you who is the chat group leader and how many are in the chat group at the bottom when you do /cg who instead of making you scroll right to the top.

The Illegal feature of it is only helpful to a crafter, and no one would use it for that any way as the delay on the macro bit is in milliseconds,. try doing that for a 75 sec delay:rolleyes: and any way, i might use it, but not for crafting, i dont even know how to use half of it yet, havnt checked lol, i just nosed about the help bit:)

Well it basically provides stats. How much damage you did. Who you killed most, who killed you most, who got the kills how many rps your group earned. How many times they died/how many ppl they killed to achieve them etc. Just gives stats as far as I could tell but I didnt get to play around with it much. Oh it also tells you how much xp you earned at what rate and some other things I can't remember off the top off me head - but essentially its a stats proggy :)

It may be amazing, but apparently it's also illegal, if you read all of the posts in the druids' forum. I'm not going to repeat which parts of the program are illegal, you can all read that for yourselves. IMO .. it's a case of "be prepared to be banned if you use it".

Again I say - such a terrible shame. The features of the program (cept the illegal stuff ofc) should be a integral part of the game - mythic should hire this guy ffs. Best features include - what dropped and who got it - no more pissing about with a chat log. Also when doing /cg who it tells you who holds it and how many people are in it.

they can ban me if they feel like it .. wont stop using this nice prog

Why don't you just send goa an email asking them to ban you, saves their emplyees some time reading BW and then banning you...sheesh :wall:

Goa's Rightnow was contacted, this was there response. So I guess we make our own minds up as they dont seem to be fussed :rolleyes:

Hello

The news is correct: If the program modifies any game files, or otherwise provides an advantage to the user over people who don't use it, then it is illegal. Things like chat log parsers, mp3 players and similar, sometimes do this and sometimes don't but in the cases where the "advantages" are so minor as to be neglectible, we are rarely going to take action. That does not mean that we condone it, just that we wan't to spend the rescources elsewhere.

the part where it could be used for macroing has been removed.
And mythic in US seem to tolerate its use.

I have sent a rightnow asking if it is permissable in Europe or weather it contravenes the CoC or EULA in Europe.

i would doubt weather I will get one before tuesday as I asked them to look at some sites about it too.
Suspect ill probably get a reply either on late monday or tuesday after they have cleared friday nights and saturdays backlog of rightnow's

Only person i have seen worth a ban is the one who ran around on pvp server and was purple to level 50s :DD

Craft bots, chat progs, stat bots, who cares =)
Things that just make things simple is not a carass to anyone =)
If alpha got a gorge bot, i would be more afraid (AND get copy) but you see my point here =)

No matter if someone get 1200 crafting this way, it dont hurt anyone else then the funders, and it help a darn lot of people who get what they can make them, so whats the problem =)

This program just seemed to rock, so lets all use it =) Hope goa allows it though

If it A) Didn't have illegal features
and B) Didn't Lag my connection to shit every time i used it I MIGHT use it, but to be honest, it's pretty crap and I don't think it enhances dark ages at all IMO

edit: oh and Chat Utility for Daoc LOL - its just an annoying - let everyone in guild chat know what u listening to prog! :p

also heard just how damn easy it is to track people who are using it using simple chat logging etc. Bannable offense they said as its messing up their servers (for some reason) in one way or another. Personally don't use it or DAoX but to those who do, don't say I didn't tell ya so (nah you prob wouldn't say that anyways but y'know what i mean :p)

It wouldnt be detectable if you just used the passive features. All that they do is read info coming into the client.

Otherwise nice, but I don't like going LD once a hour. The enchanced macros might've been nice too, but using them would've made me feel like cheating. Knowing your damage-output unbuffed against SBs is 41 dps is nice tho :p

If they ban someone from using DAOx, they better start banning every one of their customers from 1.59 onwards.
