Changing the version of artefacts

With the launching of version 1.78, you can trade in game different artefact types. Artefact Scholar NPCs appeared in the Hall of Heroes and they are called Jarron, Alaria and Elmer. They will be able to change the types of the following artefacts : Battler, Malice's weapons, Spear of Kings, Golden Spear, Traitor's Dagger, Crocodile Teeth and Bruiser. Jarron will also be able to change the type of the Eternal Plant, the Staff of the God, Tartaros Gift, the Belt of Oglidarsh and the Ring of Fire for the Necromancers, since new types of these artefacts have been created for them.

I wasnt able to change my 2h battler for 1h version, the npc didnt wanted to take the artefact. Did i underesnad it wrong and this change isnt possible or its just bugged?

maybe different scholar m8 ?? tbh i havent tried changing anything yet but might be 1-2 scholars

you need to unequip the arti and put it in inventory, then speak to the npc and he'll say something like "I see you have a [Malice's Axe] do you want to transform it?"

and ofc, you need to repair it 100% first
