Changing Game Cursors

Heya all,

anyone ever tried to change the ingame cursor?

ive had a play with the .cur files but made no change so it obviously aint anything to do with them

anyone got anyideas ?

i wish there were some cursor options, when u play mid or in mid it can be tricky to keep track of that white cursor...

LOOOONG ago, so its possible. I'll try recall how tomorrow.

edit:

patch, then change D:\Mythic\Darkness\icons\arrow.cur (replace D with whatever) to whatever you want, that should work. not tried it, but give it a go i guess.

no im an alb,

ive tried swapping out the arrow.cur with other cursors but nothing changed ingame

hmm ill give that a try but i cannot see it making any differance as the patcher will just be checking file names, and if i have names a new cursor with the exact old cursor name then it shouldnt see any differance

The patcher is a CRC check, so doesn't just check filenames.

I tried replacing my cursor with a purple one, and it made no difference

I replaced and renamed the file in icons/arrow.cur

I would love to change it to a wow style arrow or glove - something that isn't as lost on the interface - I get the old "lost my mouse" thing a lot which is a big pain in RvR.

The UI folders let you override alot of things like the maps folder etc, I wonder if you can do the same with cursors?
