United are playing well enough but created too many chances, Lyon are very quick on the break but have been sloppy so far.

Well average performance from Utd, passing was shocking at times, and I've said it numerous times, we won't be winning any CL playing that formation..

United were poor. Ronaldo got a boo-boo on his leg after 50 minutes and decided to take half an hour off feeling sorry for himself. Carrick got pulled out of postition so many times it's not funny and too many passes went over the top but off target. Happy we got through, not happy with the way we played.

Poor performance from united, first half we were not too bad, bit of luck on the goal but a sweet finish. However our forwards were all off key tonight. Disappointed in the midfield especially, no-one was stand out and even Anderson was poor. He wasnt his usual tenacious self for much of the game.
Well done to Arsenal, thought they may have squeezed through with a draw, but a solid 2-0 win in the end. Typical late goals But from what hear they deserved it. Fabs goal... well struck in the corner, but I would guess the keeper was blinded by the players it passed between as seemed to react very late. The position of the bounce done wonders to make sure he didnt reach it.
And Gallas... he had me laughing... did he manage to start a single sentance without the words "You know"

Not a bad punt from Fabregas but poor keeping (who was that guy by the way - i thought Dida was the #1?)
That said Arsenal were all over Milan for probably 90% of the game, so a deserved victory regardless

Dida is there #1, but afew weeks ago he was on the bench during a game and his back siezed up lol...(no joke) first case of an injury from the bench i've ever heard of.

Meh.. Arsenal played well, managed to keep the ball going fast and put alot of pressure on milan. Out of the 2 games, Flamini was arsenal best player in my opinion. Made kaka' almost worthless He needs a big boost in FM09
Sucks that Seedorf was injured, I don't think arsenal would have won if milan could play their normal 4 5 1 formation with seedorf, pirlo, gattuso, ambrosini and kaka. they would have had so much more control on the midfield.. but thats life.

PL games do not supercede UEFA games though, if there is ever a clash then the PL game has to be moved. I just got a pm on MSN saying it was because the San Siro was used last night and they didn't want to risk having fans from 4 opposing clubs in Milan during a 24 hour period. I am not sure if that is true but it would make more sense.

then there was a draw and we then had a game against a team ( forgot name :/ ) for qualifying of CL...... so we had to play that on the wednesday..... then the PL game was moved to today. what also suited the San Siro
