u wont hit much harder but try using slower sword, pestilent sickle is an off-hand toy. using slower weapon should improve ur dmg output while styling

imo 2h is way to go, after a few ranks u will hit as hard as any hero + dds + debuffs and annihilation>slam. Then again s/s can b fun if u like that play style and definetively best duel class in game ^^ I barely ever lose a duel against anything but a champ (specially shield ones ) 1debuff resisted, 1 uncalled block/parry/evade .. anything turns the tides.. too crazy duels, all about luck;p

ie: that cunt llixe with mob3, blocks like a mofo and strafes to break styles, u end up burning end on blocks/unstyled hits heh

I find the thing that kills me in duels as a sheild champ are duel weilders.

But a few lvls of mastry of parry will put an end to that.

Sit behind my sheild and dd for the win >D

Not back with LW spec ;> was what I meant. Only Gorguss beat me regularly.

But Shield is pretty amazing when buffed.

As a 50 spellcrafted Friar i'm normaly very good at 1v1 with most/all melee class's

Against a RR6 champion who was S/B spec i couldn't hit him after being debuffed (he couldn't hit me either through) the fight ended after he used his insta nuke 9 times i believe and a few lucky hits...paladins and armsmen with 60+ in shield don't last that long.

Shield champions are a Very valid spec

well, imho, debuffs+ caster range snare and dd, make champ best offensive tank in hib, essential on any assist train, any hero with 50shield will b better guarding as any pally twisting af chant will be, guard is only useful when blocking against many enemies, if its just 1 enemy snare/slam dont bother guarding, against multiple enemies u cant debuff effectively..

i wouldnt ever say champ strenght is at defense, hero is better, pally best (chants+grpinsta+endless slamming..), champ is really versatile tank, lw champ has the best frontload in game maybe..

I do not do too bad as an elph champ. Reason I said ask Llix is that me and him regularly duel (him s/s me LW) and I am in the lead (champ duelling champ is a bit of luck granted).

Well its most likely that both of you have the same stats ;p.. An Elph carrying a LW is something to pity imo .

I do suspect that my weaponskill at 50 base LW is better than it would be from going 1h/shield and being stuck to around 39 base even with piercers.
