As some of you know i have played a lot of sbs in Thid - far too many infact! But had to try out LA. Well to be honest am really thinking of sticking with it. Reasons? Well spent a few days in Thid and only been perfed about 2 times due to my 24 in stealth and no need to line up la attack. One of them times was when i thought we had an alliance with Hibs and i allowed the ++++ to hit me! Other time was against Grimily - slash inf - and fair play he reacted very quickly and got the perf in. Have been perfed whilst fighting - well hard sometimes to stop that.
Since my time in Thid - nearly capped now - have fought all sorts of buffed infs and been very succesful. Only lost a few fights. Again, against some very tough buffed ns's i have done well - far better than i would have if using crit! Loxley or Loxey - buffed ns gave me a hell of a fight and i evaded the last strike and defeated him or her - then i promptly died from poison!
LA is damn hard to use and to play - expect to die lots. Reason being each fight is protracted and you are vulnerable and out in the open for far longer. Don't play la if you can't handle dieing lots!
Another thing - you do seemingly low damage but you do it fast - very fast infact - and if you get debuffed damage does not drop that much at Thid level. I won fights against buffed slash infs when my str dropped 40-50 points (off my 212 buffed str)! The damage output in melee seems to be lot higher than when using garote etc.
Anyways i thought to put this in cos if you get fed up of using crit then have a go with la. With realm abilities - dual reflexes etc - damage can be increased considerably.
Overall, i think la needs it's damage increased 10-15% because if you go this way you expect to be able to melee fast and hard to make up for the lack of crit attacks!
