Whilst im not Celiac as such, I am kinda allergic to wheat. If I go a week or so without wheat, i can normally eat some, but if I eat too much, im sick for hours.
Its hard mate. You will be surprised what foods have wheat in and eating out is a nightmare. Wheat free bread is minging, but wheat free pasta is ok. I had to give up lager and Jack Daniels as both have wheat in.

Well i've been having problems for years now. Time i got it sorted, went to doctors today she referred me for some blood tests the chances are (from my symptoms) that its celiacs.
She isn't confirming it without the tests.
It's shit though man. How it works is im constapated for 3-4days, followed by really REALLY bad stomach pains which then results in chronic squits, been like this for 2 years but now after Thursday just gone its time to get it sorted, i've never felt pain like it.

The blood test will confirm it. If you are celiac, its shitty mate. The wheat free foods are well expensive, but you can get some of it on prescription from the docs.
You more than the normal person is fucked mate, given your staple diet is pizza and kfc burgers

I've tried a wheat free diet (harder than it sounds) and a dairy free diet (even harder) but both failed quite miserably, i need to see a dietician my bodies fucking shagged

My mum was diagnosed a couple of years ago, took them ages, in the mean time her bones and teeth have deteriorated as it stops you absorbing calcium properly. Because of her age I think she makes it harder than it is as she refuses to go without bread which I never eat anyway. She is so much better since avoiding all gluten, but just one slip makes her really ill. She even has plastic bags for her toast to prevent cross contamination from her partner's ordinary bread. A new bread has been introduced to the supermarkets that is much better tasting but quite expensive but I can't remember what it's called. There's a big range of stuff in Sainsbury's and if you are ever in Spain they are really into it, there's even a whole shop in Barcelona airport. That's all I can think of at the mo but if anything comes to mind I'll post. I definitely got her some good recipes off a BBC websites and there are often excellent flour free cake recipes at the back of mags like the Sun Times and Mail.

It's been going on for ages, in 2007 i didn't have a shit for 2 solid weeks. I kid you not, i had to have an Enema(sp) and that was horrible oh god i felt so violated.
I'd imagine. Fuck, i wish i never have to go through something like that.

It's not so much the constapation, it comes out eventually. It's the pain on the build up. It's unreal, i'm going Costa Del Sol tomorrow and doc gave me some spazmabolic tablets or something to stop the pain
