My hotmail account always seems to get spammed with endless notices about free dental care and university diplomas. I have NO idea where it all comes from (blank sender)

Seriously though, I ticked the option only to receive messages from ppl on my contact list. I can still add others, and they can contact me if they know my ICQ, but I got sick of spam ages ago. Also make sure your IP address isn't being broadcast.. there's an option somewhere to stop that.

A shame really. Personal communication spoilt by a few c*nts who think they can make money from all and sundry with little effort, or just waste people's time, or scare them shitless.., etc..

I hav`nt given my Hotmail address to anyone and had a look recently to find 47 or so new messages from everybody I`ve never heard of. FFS. So I deleted the lot.

I have to fuckin' wade thru the shite to see if anything is there from friends before I can just delete eet all

I think spammers might generate via software loads of plausible email addresses at Hotmail or other popular ISP's, and send mail to them i.e. john1@hotmail.com, john2@hotmail.com. It would be internesting to see if ZXY000nnn234@hotmail.com got
spam, if the address wasn't given to *anyone*. If it did, then someone at Hotmail has been 'turned', I say.

Why hack when you can trick or buy people? Just a thought.
