CD Key ?

Right i just got my 2 Computers on the Net (Shariun a connection - 56k) but when i goto CS and play on the same server it says CD Key is already in use... i know that you are only allowed to use 2 CD Keys , but it wont let me play with the other computer?

any ideas?

You cant use the same CD Key on 2 machines, on ANY servers, even if different,

Basically, the only way to get around this is to buy another copy of Half-Life or Retail CS

The man speaketh the truth. Buffy and I have two different CD keys...

Killy interchanges with either one depending on which of us he wants to play with on a given server.

Grrr, crappy ISDN won't allow all three of us to play at once though... pings of 1000 or more !!!

i got 4 cd keys

also, me and me m8 play on ISDN ova network (jus 2 pc's) and still get sub 100 pings.

So im sure that 3 PC's should still get decent pings :S

It's dodge ain't it...

Two of us daily play CS 'til the wee morning hours... pings ranging from 60 - 160...

A third joins and all pings go sub 1000

You should buy "Half-Life generations" that way, you have 2 cd-keys. One for Half-Life (which you can add MOD CS) and one for Retail CS.

and one for opposing force which may or may not work with it, not sure :/

Half-Life
Counter-Strike Retail
Opposing Force

Use the Half-Life CD Key on one computer and the Counter-Strike Retail on the other, you will then both be able to play counter-strike and any mod's at the same time with no troubele

You mean the HalfLife CD Key will STILL work as the CS Key?

Yes. CS Is just a mod. The HL auth server is HL, so any HL cdkey will work.

a Half-Life CD Key will work with ANY modification for Half-Life as it all uses the same authentication system.
