[Catacombs] Need some blocking!

I was making a new template to my pally since we can repair our artis etc now.
And for the PvE template I needed the 10% parry/block, I can't seem to fill out the last 1% parry, and 5% block

Was using Orcish Otherworld Necklace, and Bone Belt of blocking.
I know there's a large shield with blocking bonus, anyone know where it drops, and how to get there etc? Or anyone who has something with 5% blocking bonus for a pally ?

It drops of this guy in Nyttheim, my mum and I almost made it there together, but we died on the way. I think you want to bring a decent sized group for this guy, looks like he BAFs about 8 guys..

I think these sort of nice things drop in several places in the Otherworld and Frontlines mazes, and in their instance dungeons. I also suspect that these are less well explored in Albion than in some of the other realms for some reason (certainly for their entries on www.ethinarg.com).

I'd certainly be up for joining some expeditions down there to explore or farm, though I'll also be interested in +block/+parry items !

more defense and riposte is low to hit! not so good for dwagon etc.

I try not to use mega-rare-super items with +skill to avoid them breaking at 70% con he he :S

Otherwise using rare items.

I'm using a Flowing Antalya Shawl and a Naxos Abalone Bracer, those 2 have skills on them. Will be fun if they break. Though, I guess by the time they break you'll have farmed that many mobs that you can easily afford 3 more!

hehe , well need to wait for the timer and it won't recharge in inv, since the bug doesn't work anymore, which let you swap it from inv -> char with timer still up.


Yea well, I only use cheap items or items without skill so they can be used in real templates aswell :]

<shrug> Set up a ML7.10 farm then, think he spawns every hour or so.
You only need to get there with a couple of theurgists, a cleric or three, (atleast one buffbot and a fop), a heretic and an icer. (5 people with 2 bots!) Hard bit will be getting there. Just either tag along on a ML7 raid, organize a ML7 raid and stay behind, or make an opted group.

Heck, if you feel up to it, you could even farm Katorii as well. Also, I wouldn't mind coming along with my theurgist for that.
