aoe bolt? nasty against a bunched group of casters, against a mixed group - the bolts won't do a lot to the non-casters, still a nice spell.

I would like to know just how the Vamp can repeatedly use the stealth lore buff. Unless I am missing something it seems that mana drains at a high rate and can only be replenished by either melee combat or a ranged powertap against caster mobs.

So, to hunt stealthers a vamp would have to hunt in areas frequented by caster mobs. Nuke the mob. Kite it till lose aggro. Pop stealth lore and hunt stealthers. Ain't gonna be easy if this is how it works.

I personally don't think Vamp is all that overpowered as there are seemingly enough downsides to compensate. Don't think they will be all that popular as they can't wtfpwn till they have been in combat for a while. That won't appeal to the hardcores in the same way savage did.

I said that on the assumption a vampiir would have the mana to do so, people have seen they can spec for stealth lore and assumed OMGWTF NERRRRRF!!

You are correct, the downsides mean having to engage something first then hunt, the spec options sound fun tho

think the aoe nearsight wont be an issue - it's in a gimp line and noone will get medium or top tier of that spell - and low lvl versions are uselss (short range, low radius)

there are a few interesting things though: bainshee doesnt get any baseline single target cc - neither root nor mez nor stun - they do however get a CAE root (in a spec line)
I have read a bainshee spell list (up to lvl 41) and things I found out:
they get a baseline dd with specline delves (2xx delve and 2.8s cast time)
the cone aoe dd seem to have very high delves (I guess the top level one will have 220+ delve): remember cae spells dont suffer from damage drop offs

If the AoE bolt spell works like the Void Eld bolts it won't be a problem, cos if they are in combat or bending down to smell a flower whilst they're mate 3000 clicks away is in combat, they won't hit

and here are the most important top tier damage spells and their delves. All spells are body damage atm but they might be changed to spirit.

baseline
level 48 SG DD, 223 delve, 1500 range, 2.8 second cast time

Specline
the level 50 ES Bolt is 296 delve, 350 radius, 1875 range
level level 44 ES AE DD is 174 delve, 350 radius, 1500 range

the level 48 SG FAE Bolt is 374 delve, 750 radius
the level 49 SG FAE DD is 262 delve, 600 radius

the baseline dd (223 delve) is the ONLY single target spell the bainshee has (well except for self buffs) - everything else is either pbaoe, aoe or fae (frontal arc aoe - formerly known as cone aoe or cae)

Spectral Guard is the main uber damage line with 374 delve fae bolts (750 range; 180°) and 262 fae dd (600 range; 180°) - both got NO drop off. Additionally if you spec in that line you will get maximum damage on the baseline dd which in fact is atm the highest delve single target dd in the game. Only warlords have spells with higher damage but they are stuck with 4 sec unmodifyable cast times.

To me this sounds pretty uber dmg wise...
