Quite interested to see how others would compare the casters from each realm in FG v FG.

1. SM
2. Sorc
3. BD
4. Cabby
5. Bainshee
6. Chanter
7. Therg/Eld
8. Runie
9. Wiz
10. Mentalist
11. Ani
12. Heretic

I didn't know what to do with warlock since its just a stupid class.

Maybe BD can also go into 2nd place, since its a dodgy class which could be made alot more balanced with a few slight adjustments.

Slot 6 and 7 could change around, the utility of therg/eld vs instantdps/ml9/dmg of chanter.

Remember this is FG vs FG, not duo/trio/solo/siege etc

Would rank eldie much higher that u got there, but then do u rank one above or below a shee? You don't it's a kinda silly they bring about the same lvl of usefulness to a grp, same with a few of those casters.

depends on the grp setups

in some setups id consider hibs chanter/eld/bainshee to be amongst the very best in the game, prolly taking 3 of the top 5 spots, above both SM and BD (mainly getting competition from sorc and cabby, mebbe rm too - not rly sure where wl fits in, never seen any effective ones).

in other setups SMs and BD would rate very high, while a class like chanter would drop considerably, as can a wiz come in both somewhat high and very low, a theurg is somewhat enviroment dependent, being considerably higher ranked in tank heavy enviroments, than caster heavy, etc etc etc

1. Sorc (alb grps cant really run without them so 1 by default imo)

4. Eld, red nearsight, baseline stun etc etc
5,6. Cabalist with rr5 up/Sm when caba rr5 is down. ml9 pet+caba rr5 is :(

7. Chanter, baseline stun, can debuff its own dmg type, free healer in grp cus of pet
8. Heretic (altho thats a hybrid not a caster :p)
9. Runie, glorified wizzy
10. Wizzy
11. Menta
12. Necro

i hope u dont rely on that "free healer" to keep anything alive :p

particulary when u can have a pet that can hit for 5 - 600 dmg instead

well i ranked em by the impact a well played one can have on a fg fight along with survivability tools

Sm´s vs castergrps are not that good (no insta interrupts, no spell with over 1500 range) but vs tankgrps they rule. So totally depend on what you are facing really.

So you don't think a well played sorc have a big impact on fg vs fg rvr? Time to start running without one imo! (and neither a theurg?...)

well was more the fact that they can have it without losing anything, regardless whether they use it or not

All alb casters at the top ( 1= wizard ofc)
Followed by mid
Followed by hib

I list mine later when i can be arsed. Bored with the game as it zerg fest and not been able to get past alb bridges for past 2.5hrs.

To rank a warlock higher then a Sorc in FG vs FG rvr is kinda unstrong.

Sorc is a very powerfull class and yes a well played sorc can go along way towards winning a fg vs fg fight. Problem is there are only a few sorcs of that caliber playing in this age.

From a point of survivability sorc are very poor, as the only primary CC class who doesn't have 2k+HP and Chain/Re-enforced armour. Death of such an important class is to easy to achive.

So i place Sorc mid way in the list

In a full group situation:

1: Sorcerer
2: Bainshee - Warlock
3: Theurgist
4: Spiritmaster - Eldritch - Cabalist - Bonedancer
5: Enchanter - Runemaster -
6: Wizard - Animist - Mentalist

In keep siege battles:
1: Sorcerer - Warlock - Bainshee - Animist
2: Eldritch - Enchanter - Mentalist
3: Fire Wizard - Runecarving Runemaster
3: Runemaster - Bonedancer - Spiritmaster - Cabalist

Versus solo stealthers
1: Sorcerer - Warlock - Spiritmaster - Bonedancer
2: Cabalist - Mentalist (with pet)
3: The Rest

apart from both dex debuffs on casters + interrupt pet against caster groups

I still think light eld with ns and same debuffs and stun is better vs casters. Chanter with pet, instainterrupt and stun is also better against other casters. So is bainshee with taunt, sorc with boltrange mezz, theurg with pets, cabby with ns etc. Vs tanks, SM´s prolly outperform any of the classes mentioned above. See the difference then?

I too would place light eld a lot higher than most here. Red nearsight, red aoe mezz, baseline stunn, dex debuffs, should be able to take down most other casters/support.

1. Bainshee (pure damageoutput base nuke 223 eld spec nuke 209 :eek7: not to mention huge util)
2. Sorc
3. SM
4. BD/Theurg
5. Ed/chanter (depending on spec)

Based on the pov of a Midgard caster FG vs alb FG, sorc and heretic are the worst enemies, if left untouched all casters in the Midgard grp will be set out of play, theurg aswell can be a pain. Against hib FG it's Bainshee and Bard.

In Midgard tank group, Warlock can keep us alive forever if hidden well, Bonedancers and Spiritmasters are good interrupters.

Cabalists and Eldritch are a pain for the nearsight and dmg etc, Mentalist and Enchanter are good with all their tools aswell as Wizard and Animist, Runemasters just die too fast to be that useful but ofc are strong dmg dealers if left untouched.

This is the grpsetup I prefer:
1. Pac healer
2. Healer
3. Shaman
4. Skald
5. Warlock [Banelord]
6. Bonedancer(/Berserker) [Banelord]
7. Thane(/Warrior) [Battlemaster]
8. Savage(/Spiritmaster) [Main Dmg Dealer]

Prefer Thane to Warrior because of the ability to interrupt aswell as being the BG. Main Dmg Dealer (and MA) can be Berserker aswell depending on who's playing basically, but didn't put it there since it's in the Banelord slot already. Bonedancer are the preferred Banelord though, because of the interrupting abilities. :)
