Caster Quandry - Advice Please!

Right, want to roll a caster tonight, initially for BG 1 but perhaps to take all the way.

Was going to roll a Body/Mind Sorc but cannot decide. My current choices are:

Body/Mind Sorc
Ice/Body Theurg
Earth Wiz
Fire Wiz

I have lots of spare slots, but am hyper anal, and don't like any slots being used for idle reasons - also have not got the time to play all four to decide.

Opinions?

If you are making a caster purely for BG1, then a matter cabalist is brilliant fun. Spec 24 for the AoE DoT and giggle as you sweep through groups of people in two casts. Be the person who breaks up bridge fights! Be the person who spanks everyone at keep fights! Fear not about running OOP! Oooh, fun!

I suppose body spec could be fun also but not as much damage.

Mmmm. Recommended. But respec to spirit at 40, I say.
