i thought it was good and he did well as bond.
The fact that its supposed to cover the start of bonds career is covered well.
He plays it in a thoughtful violent manner which i think works.
Havent looked at the book but i suspect they wouldnt have been playing texus hold all but can understand why they did in the film so they didnt have to explain the rules as most know it.
At the end they keep mentioning terrorist organisations but dont name them, but heard there was legal reasons why they couldnt mention spectre or whatever it was called, anyone know more about that?

Saw this last night and thought it was fantastic. Daniel Craig plays the character amazingly well, I was amazed at how well actually. This is possibly one of the best films I've seen this year and definately one of the best Bond films I've ever seen, haven`t seen any bond this good since The Living Daylights with Timothy Dalton.

The bond in this film really comes across as hard as nails cross him and your in deep shit. Seriously if this guy was on your case your screwed he has no remorse and never gives up a bit like the terminator :p

boycotting the film.

He is NOT a bond, he is nothing like a bond, its not a bond film.

I wont be going to see another 007 until they get someone worthy of the role.

its actually a great movie, i went to watch it last night and had my doubts. its a completly refreshing new look for bond, whom i might add is alot darker in this film. overall they really have made it better by taking the one liner ''oh behave'' jokes out and placing a more serious approach to the story line. if he puts in another preformance like this in the next bond film he will be one of the best of all time.

i would say you should go and watch this kigato , then make an informed opinion about the movie, as opposed sharing your inept point of view before having any evidence to back it up.

Funny how people always have to throw insults here just because someone has a different view.

Not everyone in life will agree with you, you better get used to it and deal with it.

Back on topic, I was out voted tonight 2-1 by my mates so had to watch, and it did not change my opinion at all.

I'll break it down into 2 halves because its simply not a bond film to me.

1) Daniel Craige.

He is not 007, he is just a typical action hero thug, he is not suave, he is not sophisticated he is not even remotely charming, he is just a typical army thug like 1001 other action heros before him.

He IS a good actor and I like him as an actor I have nothing against him, but he is simply not a good choice for bond. Heck he's blonde for christe sake too :p and that aside, he does not even look to be in good shape for a so called elite ex sas type, quite a stomache on him in some shots.

Good action man, perhaps, good bond, no. He lacks all the qualities that set James Bond aside from your typical run-of the mill action heros.

Which brings me to..

2) The Film

Ok action film, but not a Bond film, and I say ok because it was not good, it was far far to long, far to dull and lacked any momentum after the first hour.

The first hour was pretty good (and the first bird from the beach with the horse was far far sexier then eva green) but after the 3rd damn poker game it just got completely dull and repetitive, and lacked any pace at all, the last half hour just seemed to be full of random events to try and frantically tie together obscure lose ends who's relivence had already deminished with little explanation and lost all momentum altogether.

The very last scene could of been dramatic, could of had an impact, it was a nice shot, but it ended up just looking totally out of place and a last ditch effort to redeem some element. If they had shown that half an hour earlier or more, it might of work.

I can see what they were attempting to do, a sort of 'show how he became the man he is' affair but it was handled poorly and without any real insight I think, they simply lost their grip on the story half way through.
