Car Music :)

Music in my car is totally dependent on mood really, much like listening to music at other times. Although I do find myself branching out a little more when I don't spy a CD I want to play, Classic, Jazz, XFM or Flight FM go on.

Will probably stick the current Moby single on the next tape. Ditto for "Starbucks" by "A". Not a band I'd buy an album of, but catchy song. New Foo Fighters isn't bad either.
mmmm MTV2...

I go through fads of driving music, and right now Im in Old Skool land, with:

Move any Mountain (Shamen)
Cream (Prince)
Back II Life (Ermm... )
"Rubber bands expand in a frustrating sigh... " (Erm... Hoooge black guy)
Summertime (Fresh Prince)

And all that kind of stupid music. Occasionaly in a Prodigy driving mood (long distances, motorways), if I'm off to have a good time somewhere it has to be Supergrass I should Coco, If I'm in a foul mood then RATM or NIN, if I'm just up for singing my little socks off and looking bizarre in people's rear views then its Dave Matthews.

I don't *do* Kevisms.
Soul II Soul is the band name you are after Dam's, god they ruined my 80's, always on the radio:(

Pearl Jam Ten is a fucking great car album.

The best motorway albums though, by far, are the 125mph rage inducing Guns n' Roses Use Your Illusion 1 and 2.

Personally, I would have the following:

Celebrity Skin - Hole
Rebel Yell - Billy Idol
Faster - M.S.P
Capitalism Stole My Virginity - International Noise Conspiracy
Sweet Child O' Mine - Guns N Roses
Blitzkreig Bop - Ramones
About a Girl - Nirvana
Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen
Stutter - Elastica
Ghostbusters Theme - Ray Parker Jnr. (?)
Drifting Away - Faithless
Come Up and See Me - Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel
Imagine - John Lennon
Going Underground - The Jam
Town Called Malice - The Jam
Safe European Home - The Clash
Radio GaGa - Queen

erm.. I think that's about it, maybe Master of puppets by metallica (MASTAH! MASTAH!)... :)

Having Bohemian Rapsody on a car tape IS a genuine risk to safety... especially if your car has flames painted on the sides.
