Cannot start DAoC anymore, plz help

When I reinstalled Windows and later DAoC something very bad happened. Now I cant run Camelot. I can install it correct but when I try run the game nothing happens (and I mean nothing). I have the latest drivers from nvidia and creative and I have directx9 and I have tried everything, but nothing seems to help. Can someone please help me with this, I have nothing left to try.......

yes ive got a firewall but ive had it working fine with it running, its only since i patched up to the us server that things went drasticaly wrong, had to uninstall then couldnt get it to work again, it installed fine, but just doesent do anything when double clicking on the icon, ive disabled the firewall completly and reinstalled then tried to run it with the same results. If i leave the disc in the drive double clicking on camelot just accesses the disc keeping it spinning and locking up the computer.

The firewall shouldnt cause any problem. About the disc, you must boot from the disc the first time you start camelot. Install the game and then get your disc out and put it back in. Then run camelot from the disc, worked for me.

K here's the situation :
since GOA don't want me to reactivate my main account, I decided to roll some fun templates with the buffbot-acc
I have a DAoC CD-key, but I lost my CD many month ago when I quit playing the game
I bought the SI as well, but I cannot play with the buffbot-acc, since the SI needs activation (and I'll have to activate SI with my main account - and if you have SI you dont need the DAoC CD, just the key)
my friend upped a DAoC to me, but when I dled and burned it onto a CD, it said : Invalid Copy when I tried to start the game
what's wrong?!?
(OK, simple answer : "u have invalid copy", right, but there has to be a solution - I cant get the daoc cd in my town easily )

ive tried running from the cd it does exactly the same thing just continusly spins the disc efectivly locking up the pc, ive even tried installing and running from a friends copy of daoc with the same results. ive thought about reinstalling windows but i dont know if this will solve the problem ?, but i carnt think of anything else to try ?
