Whether you are joking or not, heres a site that'll allow you to help without having to actually do anything.

www.ud.com

Download the software. What it does is it's a program that runs all the time on your computer (when its switched on ;)) and uses ONLY THE EXCESS CPU WHICH ISNT BEING USED so it doesn't slow down any programs (i can vouch for that).

What it does is looks within different proteins, and combinations of molecules in them to try and find a match for a cure. It finds the combinations that are most likely to be close to a cure and at the end of the batch your computer does, it automatically sends back the results and fetches a new batch for you to do. It helps by narrowing down the number of combinations scientists have to go through to find a cure.

So far in our small group of 5 computers we've attributed 9+ years worth of CPU time to it after doing nothing...

I'll repeat it again, it doesn't slow down anything on your computer at all apart from once every few hours, it sends a 100k file back to the server and uploads a new one.

Recommended everyone does their bit :D

edit: Ooh the download button is in the top right of the screen :p
