Those of you who are involved in them to a high extent should know what I'm talking about.

hehe still makes me chuckle when a bunch of lvl 50's get lost in the enemy (or our own for that matter) frontier, almost as funny as soloing one and only getting 2 realm points for him .

You can laugh, but people have said to me... "Come to RvR Dan, you'll be able to show us around the alb frontier." Seriously, am I the only player that knows all three frontiers?

but the amount of people who get killed by drakes because they dont know how to get through pennines , 'tis funneh!

it's just being msgd, and told 'get a group and come here'
then when i say ok and port over, and ask what im required to do, it's 'come to xxx place', ok, so i go, only to find out they didnt even touch the doors or got spotted too early, or not enough rams, not enough people and so on and so on... please, if you're gonna do these uber secret raids, dont make yourself a laughing stock when you fuck up so bad that the 'public groups' laugh at you..

i dont know who's been behind the latest batch of raids, and i dont wanna know..

you're only wasting my time and yours.

Bah, only ever had one incident with drakes, when I was new to the alb frontier. That was quite a few months ago. The crazy thing is, most albs don't know how to get through pennine, let alone hibs!

hehe try it as an eldritch, no stealth so pennines get's fun since you have to dodge realm patrols, drakes, general aggro wolves, skirt wearing freaks etc... as well as making sure you dont get teg ganked by fifteen lvl 45ish archer mobs at once thankfully i know my way around there easily so it's nice and simple, you just have to dodge realm patrols and other players that way, but it'd be a bugger if i had to check maps

gotta say, i know the jmatland mountains less than pennines due to the fact that it's usually easier to use zone walls in middy, whereas it's easier (and safer ) to go cross country and go through the middle of pennines even if you have no stealth

think i'll have to go on some middy holidays and run about their interior frontier's rather than just zonewalling to yggdra/uppland like usual, get to see some interesting things that way, and perhaps even find people doing their level 50 epics just in time to nuke their healers

it's a bit biased against middy though too, i mean it's basically a simple case of:

hibby's route to gorge/collory = AGGRO RAH!
albs route to sauvage/snowdonia = AGGRO RAH! (well not so much snowdonia, but definately sauvage)
middies route to yggdra/uppland = ........er......<looks at the emptiness>....hmmmm.

meaning that i'm not too surprised that i've found you can usually trust people to be able to get around some of mid by themselves, ask them to join you at renaris though... , usually you get asked "what's a renaris????"

If you refer to the raid on 14.12.2002 i agree with you totally. Was a chicken run

Danita at least cares about the relics - it is difficult to organize a raid and she took the
burden on her - such people we need in hibernia.

Gorge/Collory is easy without aggro.

I agree that we should try get more organised and improve the lines of communication, but that's not going to come without some hiccups

oh you can get around it easy enough, just like alb, but the point is you can't just zonewall it like you can in middy, and that alone is enough to completely stop 90% of the high level population from even TRYING to set foot inside the deeper parts of those frontier's (cowards ), midgard however has a 100% aggro free route right along the easy to navigate zonewalls , kinda unbalanced i think

point is that if you go to collory/gorge along the zonewalls you hit bloodletters/curms/fuaths etc... if you go to alb you can't really go along the zonewalls because of how the zone's are built, so you go inland (you can zone wall to snowdonia though, less aggro but its' still there) where you have to get past drakes etc...(again, easy to dodge, but most dearn't even try ) yet to go to yggdra/uppland along the zonewalls you only have to dodge.....er....snow

Gorge/collory is easy along the zonewall. Used to do it all the time before patrols got nerfed.
Collory - there's pretty much nothing in range along the breifine east wall, only worry there was patrols out of crim and da behnn. Once you're in Collory it's quicker to go cross country.
Gorge - likewise in Brefine only problem was patrols out of bolg. There's a few mobs as you enter the gorge but it's easy enough to avoid them with a little patience.

Well to all those who are making an effort to organise a relic raid i would like to say: keep up the good work!!

I agree on what Laryssa says, we need people to make an effort and try to help them as much as we can cause if we don't we'll probably never get a relic back. It's always very easy to say what went wrong when something failed but learn from it seems to be the hardest part of it.

What a great way to push down the few people that organise stuff for realm and actually care about relics, how would you feel if it was you i may ask.

there's also the fact that no matter how much planning went into it, no matter how prepared, there's allways the simple thing that your relying on other people to do it, so no matter how good a raid leader you are, if others f*ck it up for you in the other parts of the frontier then there's not a damn thing you can do about it.

most organised raids that i've been on that have failed did so because of one or more groups of people managing to hide the fact that they were entirely incapable of doing their job, yet not telling anyone until after the raid had died because of it, simultanious keep raids are all well and good, but when 3 keep raiding forces get wiped at once on three different keeps because of sheer incompetence on the part of those there, there isnt a damn thing the raid leaders can do about it
