i was looking over at www.counterstrikecenter.com at the maps they have and there are loads of assault mods i would love to play, they look great but only opponents i can find are bots.

there is:
cs_assault
cs_assault2k
cs_winter_assault
cs_assault UPC
cs_delta_assautl

all good maps and cs_intercept is a new nice looking one

basically i am just edging towards being able to play assault2k....but i get bored with bw servers, surely we can get rid of useless servers hardly anyone goes on and just add some more fun to cs1.4 before cs:cz arrives....

the [G2G] clan server on wonderful Jolt runs the UPC one.

Jolt clanservers are the best place to play custom maps, you want one server dedicated to a map hated by many, when BW have 12 CS servers? heh.

i'd have to disagree with you....most ppl love assault...as i have said here before the UK2 assault2k server is always full, and i have never played the others, bar UPC, ok, i admit that one is shite
but the others are good. why not?

and yeah i mean a public server..does no one else get bored with POPULAR maps servers....would be nice if adminmod was on, but if not, why don't they just make 12 servers that have 3/4 maps on so you know what you'll be playing?

aye, Assault is OK, but tends to get boring once you've played it for months and months.

I dont agree with new maps instantly going onto Popular Servers (Going by the Chateu/Havana thingy), instead it should go on a Custom Server or whatever, as a trial

Agreed there. (finally). The non popular servers seem more "popular" than the actual popular ones atm. I think its because office aint on there but there you go ;)
Seriously, those two maps really need to be removed imo.

Go to UK2 then, assault is lame, so is UK2, and perhaps so are j00!

Assault is a good map, assault2k is a poor implimentation of it, made for people who have poor teamplay skills as CT's. Oh and its poo.

Most people will play Assault but not that many people love it.

Its a horrendously boring map.

Everyone tries to go T and then just sits there all round, all the shit players who "had" to go CT because of no slots on T just rush in mindlessly, and any good players that join CT just camp the rounds out outside.....

What an exciting map ?!?!!?

Assault - good t will pwn.

No chance for ct's = boring.

If I wanted that I'd go and play MoH on Omaha as allies.

When good players join CT's (and I have seen many that refuse to go T), it makes for some great team based rushes and great rounds.

Love Assault but hate playing T - too easy to defend ...

... anyone played Western Assault ? its one of the better modifications IMHO

Assault and the whole concept of assault is the major suckeh...

And it isnt always to easy to camp as T, just people think it is.

Its hugely biased in favour of T, but CT's can still win it if the T's are stupid....

Its a gh3y map and one of the highest "lamer" maps ;)

As in, it attracts more lamers than most maps, due to gren spamm0r and plenty of places for cheats to work excellently well etc.... :p

If you want to play all those assault maps raistrick go to the UK War Assault server.It rotats 8 Assault maps all off the best also it is a 32 player server so it is good fun.:clap:
