Well was in Temple of Mourkain last night with my rank 16 swordmaster when i was jumped by a rank 17 marauder. My sword master got 3170 hits, 60% ish melee dmg mitigation from armour, -40 dps from toughness. The marauder hit me for 150 and 150, so two hits for 300 dmg. Then the 3rd hit came and i died. Just got msg you have been destroyed by XXX with attack XXX so 2870 hits gone in 1 attack?

Seen this a few times with my rank 40 engineer aswell, just get msg been destroyed from nearly full health.

Can add that i was previously nearly killed by some witch elves, but healed up to full health as the marauder hit me. No other dmg landed on me according to the combat log while he destroyed me.

Sure you wasn't hit by others as well before the death blow.
Occasionally I also feel like I just "drop and die" only to find I was hit by a morale skill or something before the death blow.

Nope checked and double checked the combat log, show the other attacks the heal then the two attacks from marauder then i was destroyed... Just plain wierd.

shouldn`t it say how much damage the last attack did ?

i remember stuff like fighting someone and then loosing 4000 hp in one blow.

when i checked i saw i got hit by a level 55 guardian for 35 000 or something.

Its a guard bug, same thing happend to me in there I got hit for well over 2500 in T2 by a BO that was guarding me while carrying the relic.
Guard is bugged in that way that it transfers the relic damage to the person you guard (no idea if it's at a 100% rate or not).
So if you dont like someone just pick up the relic and guard them ;p works nice on healers that think they are DPS so you force them to heal themselves.
