Well it's their full time job, so what 40-60 thousand dollars a year on the cheap side salary? That is $2.1 million right there, and I would imagine their salaries closer to $100k. Then you have the actual costs of running the business, all the assets they must pay for, and then the bandwidth costs etc. It's a non-profit organisation, $10million does not sound that much tbh.

All their costs etc seem to be publicly available; it's not just the wikipedia site remember, it's the entire wikimedia foundation that is run on that $10mill a year. More info here, FAQ will answer pretty much anything you need: http://wikimediafoundation.org/wiki/FAQ/en
